Small Business Showcase - Safe Climber Tree Service - Carbondale, KS

So if you’ve been following our blog, you’ve seen we’ve recently begun showcasing small businesses on our blog. It’s been a lot of fun and a great way to help other small businesses in our area to get some professional images as well as help promote what they do. I feel like it’s something that will benefit a lot of people in our area and I’m happy to contribute that way.

Our latest small business is Safe Climber Tree Service from Carbondale. I love their session and love the answers to their interview. Definitely worth checking out!

T.H. Peterson: How did you get into tree trimming?

Ethan: The electrical union offered paid health coverage for my family so I joined and fell in love with it immediately. Took the gear home on weekends to teach myself to climb and the rest is history.
T.H. P.: What has been the most exciting part of owning your own business?

Ethan: Getting the opportunity to meet and get to know so many different people.

T.H. P.: What have you found to be good marketing for your business?

Ethan: Facebook posts and word of mouth has been number 1 for us.

T.H. P.: Can you tell me a little bit about what you do? What are all the services you offer?

Ethan: We offer tree pruning and removal services. Emergency work after storms example - broken limbs over structures or trees uprooting etc. Bush trimming and shaping and forestry debris haul off. We climb with all professional gear for trees in tight spots that buckets cannot get to. Technical hazardous removals are our favorite!

T.H. P.: Tell me a little bit about your team? They seem like a great group of guys!

Ethan: Thanks, they are! We have a pond at the shop we use, and almost every morning when I get there they are already there with trailers dumped, and are fishing in the pond before we get started for the day!

I am in the process of training 3 of them to climb so they can become career tree men, as well as build another crew. They are all from Topeka originally. David and Jason are brothers. Johnny and Tanner are brothers.

T.H. P.: Of all the things you do, what's your favorite?

Ethan: We love big nasty hazard removals with a bunch of technical rigging. We love crane removals a lot too (but not many trees around here require that), and pruning ornamental landscaping trees! We love both worlds. Gentle little prunes and scary monster removals.

T.H. P.: How can people get ahold of you?

Ethan: Facebook at Safe Climber Tree Service LLC.

Phone: 785-249-2160

Email:safeclimbertree@gmail.com

T.H. P.: One last question. What would you like the public to know about your business?

Ethan: We are safe and efficient and really value customer service. We have a lot of respect for our customer's property.

We love what we do and do it to the best of our abilities. I have been trained professionally and have worked/climbed for several other companies over the years, but decided to make the dream a reality when I started my own LLC in 2021.
