Interview with Ryleigh Kelly - Shawnee Heights Class of 2024 - Topeka's Best Senior Portraits

Ryleigh, a radiant young woman, on her family's picturesque farm… talk about awesome. Against the backdrop of tall green fields and grazing cows, Ryleigh's session was a brief but unforgettable experience that captured her connection to her family and heritage. With her infectious smile and natural grace, Ryleigh effortlessly posed alongside her family's awesome old truck, creating images that were full of nostalgia and charm.

The magic of the golden hour enhanced Ryleigh's beauty. The soft, warm light added an ethereal quality to the photographs. She was natural, vibrant, beautiful and relaxed in her session. The perfect shoot as she prepares to embark on the next chapter of her life. Ryleigh's senior photos serve as a captivating memento, preserving the essence of a young woman who celebrated her roots and radiates hope for the future.

T.H. Peterson: What are your plans after high school?

Ryleigh: To attend Kansas state university and major in pre vet or feed mill science.

T.H. P.: What are you looking forward to most your senior year?

Ryleigh: To enjoy all the lasts (last first day of school, last homecoming, last basketball game)

T.H. P.: Have you been around cattle your whole life?

Ryleigh: No, it started when I was about 10 when we leased our land to other cattle farmers and for years I watched them and then decided I wanted my own.

T.H. P.: What has been your most memorable experience showing cattle?

Ryleigh: Probably the adrenaline of the first time I walked into the show ring. I was so scared but it turned out being so much fun.

T.H. P.: What do you like most about FFA?

Ryleigh: I love how much it actually teaches us about real world things. We have learned how to make resumes and apply for a job but we also have fun like having cool AG Olympics games and growing together as a whole FFA chapter.

T.H. P.: What is something you enjoyed about your session with us?

Ryleigh: Everyone was very outgoing and fun and had a lot of great ideas for poses because I had no idea what I was doing.

T.H. P.: What kind of student are you?

Ryleigh: I am a very hardworking and determined student. I won’t give up until I understand the concept but I am also very loud and outgoing and never scared to talk to strangers.

T.H. P.: What would people be surprised to learn about you?

Ryleigh: Probably that I own my own cattle at the age of 17.

T.H. P.: Have you ever arm wrestled your dad?

Ryleigh: Yes. Lost very badly.

T.H. P.: What’s the most girly thing about you?

Ryleigh: Umm every once in awhile I like to get out of dirty jeans and put in a pretty dress but I always have to call my sister for makeup advice because I don’t know the first thing about it.
