Bowen's Newborn Session - Interview with Mom - Topeka's Best Newborn Photographers

Bowen was really the perfect baby! He is so sweet and he posed anyway we wanted! He is also full of expressions and adorable faces! Mom and dad are clearly crazy about him and I just feel that his precious personality and sweetness just shined through so much. Here are some of our favorites from the session. Enjoy!

T.H. Peterson: What did you think when you first saw Bowen?

Hannah: We couldn’t believe how perfect he was and that our

miracle baby was finally here. 

T.H. P.: Who does he look like?

Hannah: He is a spitting image of his dad.

T.H. P.: Did you have any interesting food cravings or food aversions during pregnancy?

Hannah: Didn’t have many food cravings. 

T.H. P.: Something you liked about your session with us?

Hannah: Everything, we are so happy with the way the photos turned out. ❤️ 

T.H. P.: What is Bowen's favorite thing to do? Hannah: He loves to snuggle with mom and dad he is also very observant and loves to look around and take the world in.

Interview with Lilly Miller - Rossville High Class of 2025 - Topeka's Best Senior Portraits

Our session with Lilly was amazing! She is such a great model and looked amazing in every photo. I loved her energy and demeanor. She was laid back and very smiley and happy. How to Prepare for a Photo Session - Topeka's Best Family Portrait Photographers

Select outfits that will make for a timeless portrait. Choose practical clothing items, and keep the location and time of year in mind.  Select clothing items and accessories that are not too distracting or that you will have to adjust often during the session (think long necklaces or ruffled tops on a windy day).  Keep in mind the weather, wind speed, and humidity/chance of rain.  If you have littles, bring them some snacks to help give them incentives during the session.  This can help us to get kids to cooperate and make or break a session.  If it is windy, wear your hair up.  Trimming your bangs/hair slightly to keep them out of your eyes is a great idea, too! Use product like mousse, gel, pomade, and hairspray to tame your mane!    Pick shoes that will be easy to walk in at the location of the session.  For example, high heels are not recommended for sunflower shoots, but would look great in an urban/downtown setting.  Bring an extra jacket or cardigan to th

Miss Taylor was such a joy to photograph! We were blessed to capture multiple sessions with her. She is so photogenic and sweet. I love the images that we were able to make for her. Malina is a great model! She came in for senior portraits and her session was just amazing! She was fun to photograph and I loved the look of her images, we took them in the middle of the day at Osage Lake and we were able to get some really rich colors and vibrant backgrounds that really complimented her outfits and mood of her session!
