Interview with Keira Kebert - Seaman High - Class of 2025 - Topeka's Best Senior Portraits


Kiera's shoot was really awesome. The property we got to photograph on was so photogenic and I think was the perfect backdrop to show off her personality and passions! She is a girl with a tough exterior but deep down, she's a sweet young lady! She has a good sense of humor and I really enjoyed being able to capture these images for her. I've photographed her and her family many times and it was nice to to do a session that was all about her this time. She is a very interesting young woman and it is an honor to make these portraits for her.

T.H. Peterson: What classes are you liking most this year? 

Keira: Machining and welding. 

T.H. P.: What classes are you glad to be done with? 

Keira: English and government. 

T.H. P.: What do you want to do after high school? 

Keira: Either be a welder or a machinist. 

T.H. P.: What makes you feel confident? 

Keira: Having a good eyelash day.

T.H. P.: Where would you like to visit? 

Keira: I want to go to Lapland.

T.H. P.: Favorite place to eat? 

Keira: Maggiano's.

T.H. P.: Something liked about your session with us?

Keira: It was at a pretty place.


T.H. P.: How would your friends describe you?

Keira: Redneck princess. 

T.H. P.: Favorite outdoor activity?

Keira: Fishing and hunting.

Keira: The amount of shoes I own.

Miss Taylor was such a joy to photograph! We were blessed to capture multiple sessions with her. She is so photogenic and sweet. I love the images that we were able to make for her. No matter where we went or what we photographed, she looked beautiful! One of my favorite spots was behind the Governor's mansion at Kaw River Park, it was the perfect backdrop for her session! Grace and Andrew's engagement session ended up being so beautiful! KU is truly one of the most beautiful locations in our area. I told them any angle we point the camera, the background is just gorgeous. They were so much fun to photograph. Such good subjects! And their pup Bentley (I think!) He is adorable! How to Prepare for a Photo Session - Topeka's Best Family Portrait Photographers

Select outfits that will make for a timeless portrait. Choose practical clothing items, and keep the location and time of year in mind.  Select clothing items and accessories that are not too distracting or that you will have to adjust often during the session (think long necklaces or ruffled tops on a windy day).  Keep in mind the weather, wind speed, and humidity/chance of rain.  If you have littles, bring them some snacks to help give them incentives during the session.  This can help us to get kids to cooperate and make or break a session.  If it is windy, wear your hair up.  Trimming your bangs/hair slightly to keep them out of your eyes is a great idea, too! Use product like mousse, gel, pomade, and hairspray to tame your mane!    Pick shoes that will be easy to walk in at the location of the session.  For example, high heels are not recommended for sunflower shoots, but would look great in an urban/downtown setting.  Bring an extra jacket or cardigan to th

Our session with Eli was great! It was a beautiful day and we focused on his passion for flying! I think in 20+ years, this was a first for me! So much fun and what an interesting experience! I learned a lot just being there and one thing that's always fun is it is a good opportunity for the senior being photographed to talk about what they do and that helps the session and the experience! Malina is a great model! She came in for senior portraits and her session was just amazing! She was fun to photograph and I loved the look of her images, we took them in the middle of the day at Osage Lake and we were able to get some really rich colors and vibrant backgrounds that really complimented her outfits and mood of her session! Our session with Trenten was outstanding. It was great because we really got to showcase his passion in life which are the sports he plays. We highlighted wrestling, football and baseball.
