Interview with Liliana Ferrer-Escalante - Topeka High Class of 2025 - Topeka's Best Senior Portraits

 Liliana is absolutely stunning and one thing that I really appreciated about her session was the very specific ideas she wanted for her shoot. After getting to know her and meeting her I realized she is a photographer and obviously has a good eye for aesthetics! She was a blast to hang out with and I loved when she smiled, so beautiful! She made every photo look amazing! It was an honor to meet and photograph such a photogenic and smart young lady! Here's some of our favorites! Enjoy!

Liliana: To attend college and minor in photography.

It was a beautiful morning and we started off at Gage Park in the rose garden. The perfect location for her! She is so photogenic and we got the best smiles! We then went downtown and to the capitol. Our session with Keagan was incredible. We took some at the weight room at Washburn where we had a great time capturing his passion for powerlifting and then some with his motorcycle and out at their property with his dirt bike and just getting some incredible sunset images. This was a great session with lots of smiles and laughs and beautiful moments! They own a farm stand at  58th & Auburn Road and this was the perfect time to highlight their bountiful harvest! How to Prepare for a Photo Session - Topeka's Best Family Portrait Photographers

Select outfits that will make for a timeless portrait. Choose practical clothing items, and keep the location and time of year in mind.  Select clothing items and accessories that are not too distracting or that you will have to adjust often during the session (think long necklaces or ruffled tops on a windy day).  Keep in mind the weather, wind speed, and humidity/chance of rain.  If you have littles, bring them some snacks to help give them incentives during the session.  This can help us to get kids to cooperate and make or break a session.  If it is windy, wear your hair up.  Trimming your bangs/hair slightly to keep them out of your eyes is a great idea, too! Use product like mousse, gel, pomade, and hairspray to tame your mane!    Pick shoes that will be easy to walk in at the location of the session.  For example, high heels are not recommended for sunflower shoots, but would look great in an urban/downtown setting.  Bring an extra jacket or cardigan to th

Damien and Brianna's Big Day - Amazing Wedding at Abe and Jake's Landing - Lawrence, Kansas

In August, I had the privilege of photographing Damien and Brianna’s wedding at Abe and Jake's Landing in Lawrence, Kansas. Surrounded by their closest friends and family, the day was full of love, laughter, and so much joy. The ceremony was intimate and heartfelt, with Damien and Brianna exchanging vows in front of everyone they care about most. It was clear how much love they have for each other. After the ceremony, the reception was a blast! There was tons of dancing, laughter, and fun as everyone celebrated Damien and Brianna's big day. The energy in the room was incredible, and it was clear everyone was having an amazing time. From the first dance to the last song, the reception was packed with unforgettable moments. Overall, Damien and Brianna's wedding was absolutely beautiful, and I’m so grateful I got to capture all of it. Weston's session was amazing! He is such a cool dude and the type of shoot we were doing for him was just awesome! I love these types of sessions. I am so excited to share Alayna's senior shoot! She is beautiful and her session was just perfect! We took these in Manhattan and the whole session happened because Alayna saw the sunset at the overlook just north of Manhattan and knew that she had to have her session there!
