Radley's newborn session - Interview with mom - Topeka's Best Newborn Photographers

Sweet baby Radley was just three days old for his newborn session, and he was the calmest, chill little guy you could imagine. Such a tiny little thing, with the softest features and the sweetest expressions, he gave us a session full of quiet moments, tiny smirks, and little smiles that made everyone melt. He was so relaxed the entire time, which made it easy to capture those peaceful, cozy newborn images that parents love looking back on.

Mom and Dad are already completely in love with him, and you can feel it in every photo. We also created some beautiful family portraits that feel warm, cuddly, and full of connection — the kind of images that truly show a family in this special new season of life. It’s such a gift to watch a family grow, and I’m so thankful we were able to create these memories for them. I hope these images bring them lifelong joy and always remind them just how tiny and precious Radley was in these first few days. 💛

T.H. Peterson: What did you think when you first saw him?
Kylee: When I first saw him, I was amazed at how big he was! He was a good-sized boy, even though he was just over 36 weeks gestation. I anticipated a 5.5lb–6lb baby and he came out 7.3lbs.

T.H. P.: How did you come up with his name?
Kylee: We wanted a name that was unique and not too common. We were leaning towards last names as first names, and we stumbled upon Radley. We had narrowed it down to about five names, and we decided on it when we saw him. His middle name, Lue, is part of my maiden name.

T.H. P.: Who does Radley look like?
Kylee: He reminds me so much of our second boy, Kemper. But he definitely has the strong Wilson genes from dad’s side of the family.

T.H. P.: What is something you liked about your session with us?
Kylee: I really appreciated how relaxed our session was. Being three days postpartum, recovering from a C-section, and trying to wrangle two other boys is no easy feat. It made the process much easier.
