Piper's newborn session - Interview with Mom - Topeka's Best Newborn Photographers

There was so much to love about Piper's newborn session! The first thing everyone noticed was her incredible head of hair. She had thick blonde hair that honestly looked like a tiny little wig. She was absolutely beautiful and one of the most mellow babies we've photographed. I don't think we heard a single peep out of her the entire session. She was content, sleepy, and sweet from start to finish, making it easy to capture lots of different poses and expressions.

It was also obvious how much this family loves their newest little addition. Big sister, who is just three years old, was completely smitten with Piper. She loved holding her, giving her kisses, and being close to her throughout the session. Those moments were some of my favorites because they were so genuine and sweet. Between Piper's calm personality, her adorable hair, and all the love from her family, this session couldn't have gone any better. It was truly the perfect newborn shoot.

T.H. P.: What did you think when you first saw her?
Courtney: Look at all that hair!

T.H. P.: How did you come up with her name?
Courtney: Piper was going to be big sister's name until we switched at the last minute. We loved it so much we had to use it. Her first hand-me-down!
T.H. P.: What does big sis think?
Courtney: Big sister said, "I love her so much."
T.H. P.: Something you liked about your session with us?
Courtney: We forgot big sister's dress at home, and they had the perfect dress to take its place. They have everything needed for our newborn as well. It really saved the day!
T.H. P.: Did you have any food cravings or aversions during pregnancy?
Courtney: I went through jars and jars of pickles.
