Elly's newborn session - Interview with mom - Topeka's Best Newborn Photographers

Ellie was absolutely precious! Mom and Dad brought her into the studio for her newborn session, and it had been a little while since we had done a newborn session. I told them how easy it is to forget just how tiny they are until you have one in front of you again. Ellie was so sweet when we first met her. She was very mild and chill, although it did take us a little while to get her settled and comfortable. Even while we were working on that, she was giving us some of the cutest little expressions.

And then she gave us the biggest smile I think I have ever seen from a newborn! It was absolutely amazing and one of those moments that makes a newborn session so much fun. She was so cute, so photogenic, and just perfect for her entire session. I know Mom and Dad are completely in love with this little girl, and I don't blame them one bit. Ellie was such a sweetheart, and we had a great time photographing her!

T.H. Peterson: What did you think when you first saw Elly?
Chelsea: We honestly couldn’t believe she was finally here. After waiting and wondering what she would look like, seeing her for the first time was such an overwhelming mix of love, relief, and gratitude. She is absolutely perfect.

T.H. P.: How did you come up with her name?
Chelsea: Her dad and I were just listing off girl names on a road trip. Elly was our favorite.

T.H. P.: Something you liked about your session with us?
Chelsea: I loved how comfortable and relaxed the whole experience felt. You both were so patient with Elly and let everything happen naturally, which made it easy for us to relax and enjoy the moment.
T.H. P.: How is it getting adjusted to having a new baby in the home?
Chelsea: It’s definitely been an adjustment! Life has slowed down a little, and we’re learning to embrace the newborn stage and take things one day at a time. We’re tired, of course, but we’re also soaking up all the little moments.
T.H. P.: Did you have any food cravings or aversions while pregnant?
Chelsea: I didn’t have any really crazy cravings! I definitely had foods that sounded better than others throughout pregnancy, but overall I was pretty lucky with food aversions.
