We love hanging out with the Smith family, so being able to meet Susan’s extended family for a Mother’s Day shoot was so cool!  We had a great session at Lake Shawnee and even though it was a bit windy, we found perfect spots for their session!  It was fun to joke around with everyone and we captured some genuine expressions and some really good smiles!  We are excited to share a few highlights of our favorites! We love generation photos so much and we were excited to have the Joy family here at the studio for generation photos!  They had such a great session, and we really had fun laughing and getting their two smallest family members to smile.  We were able to get some great variety in the studio, and our trip to the dollar store for kid’s toys was worth it, because the kids in this session loved the light-up toys!  Between that and giving my assistant Jesse high fives, it was the key to getting the babies to smile!    To book your own session, please call Tommy or Holly at 785.793.2492 or 785.213.0812 or email tommy@thpetersonphoto.com

  We met up with the Cochran Family to do some family pictures for them and we always look forward to photographing them. We started with small groups and I am so glad that we brought our props with us to get the little ones to smile. One of our assistants has a giant stuffed banana, Chiquita Bonita, and it was a saving grace for our session today. The three smallest grandchildren definitely loved playing with Chiquita. We got some of the cutest smiles, even Grandpa Cochran had a good chuckle.  The family had a few props of their own, like their bubble machine!  It was so awesome to see the grownups watch as the little kids chased bubbles throughout Gage Park! We had the nicest day, not too hot or too windy and the lighting was awesome!!  Towards the end, we were having so much fun that we were sad to see them leave. But we are looking forward to capturing their pictures again. Thanks for the fun time and the laughs!! Enjoy! ...

 This post is a little behind but I was really wanting to get this online to share with all our friends and family, especially those we don't live near anymore. Thanksgiving we headed down to Wichita to spend it with our parents and my sister Vanessa, brother in law John and their beautiful kids Evan and Idania. The food was wonderful. The conversation was great and we had lots of fun just hanging out.  This is some of the best turkey we EVER ate!  Yes Vanessa, it's some of the best turkey we ever had!  That wing was tasty!  Grandma lovin on Mo and Eva. Mo attempting to strangle Eva.  We all went for a lovely walk after a full and satisfying meal!  Vanessa eager to show off her pearly whites.  See where I got my photo skills from?! The adults crashed out after a delicious meal and treacherous stroll.  The cutie pie is awake!  Wait! Hold up! Where's the turkey?  Mo and Eva enjoy some coloring and crafts.  ...
