Haven's senior session was one of those evenings where everything just came together. We started at Shawnee Heights High School on the softball field since that's where she's spent so much of her time. She was so easy to photograph from the beginning. She has a GREAT smile, a fun personality, and she's completely comfortable in front of the camera. Her mom came along too, and it was fun having her there cheering Haven on and getting excited every time we found another great spot. After the ball field, we made our way to the Governor's Mansion and then finished the evening at Kaw River Park. The sunset could not have been any better. The sky looked almost unreal and the water made the perfect backdrop for her portraits. We spent the evening talking about school,  plans after graduation, and just enjoying the beautiful weather. It was such a fun session from start to finish, and I'm really excited for Haven and her family to have these memories to look back on for...

I had such a great time photographing Higgins, a senior from Washburn Rural High School. He’s such a cool guy with tons of confidence and personality, which really came through in his photos. We started his session in front of the Federal Home Loan Bank — a spot I’d never shot at before — and I was blown away by the beautiful architecture and landscaping. It was the perfect backdrop for his dressy outfit and set the tone for some really sharp, classy images. After that, we headed to Cypress Ridge Golf Course to showcase Higgins’ passion for golf. The weather couldn’t have been better, and we captured some truly stunning shots of him out on the course. We wrapped up the evening at Kaw River Park just as the sun was setting over the water, giving us the most perfect, glowing images to end the session.
