Luka's Newborn Session - Interview with Mom - Topeka's Best Newborn Photographers

Image
Luka is such a cute and HAIRY little baby! He was adorable and I just loved how well he did for his session. Look at that head of hair! Beautiful! I loved all the images we got, especially with his big bro. So sweet! T.H. Peterson: What has life been like with a new baby in the house? Kio: Going from 1 kid to 2, it can get pretty hectic at times. T.H. P.: How did you come up with Luka's name? Kio: I had a list of names from my first boy and we honestly just picked a name from there. The tricky part was looking for a middle name to go with it. T.H. P.: First thing you thought when you saw Luka? Kio: I had made another hairy little guy. T.H. P.: Something you liked about your session with us? Kio: Even though it was a newborn session, you still somehow made it fun and enjoyable. The environment is definitely good vibes. T.H. P.: Who does Luka look like? Kio: He looks so much like his brother!  To book your own session, please call Tommy or Holly at 785.793.2492 or 785.213.0812 or em...

Jaycee's maternity session - Capturing a special moment in time! Topeka's Maternity Photographers

Image
I thoroughly enjoyed Jaycee's maternity session. She looked gorgeous in both gowns and capturing her happiness made the session so much fun! It's something that I wish more mothers would agree to. It's such a special time in life that I believe will mean so much more after the baby is born. It was raining so we were only able to photograph her in the studio but I am so happy with how everything turned out. We even were able to get some with her little girl and her husband. Which made the session even more special. Can't wait to meet the new baby! Thank you for checking out her shoot and enjoy!  To book your own session, please call Tommy or Holly at 785.793.2492 or 785.213.0812 or email tommy@thpetersonphoto.com or you can sign up for maternity or newborn photos at bit.ly/PetersonNewborn

Benji's newborn session - Interview with Mom - Topeka's Newborn Photographers

Image
Benji's shoot was great! He was such a sweet and chill baby. I was so excited as he even gave us a little smile. Mom was really fun to hang out with too. She was really into the session and I could tell she was having a great experience as well. He looks so tiny and beautiful! He was the perfect little model! T.H. Peterson: What was your pregnancy like? Did you have lots of morning sickness? Any food cravings or aversions? Whitney: I had a lot of morning sickness in the first trimester but other than that everything was pretty smooth. I ate a lot of mayo. I ate elote’s and grilled sandwiches smothered in mayo. T.H. P.: What did you think when you first saw Benji? Whitney: I couldn’t believe he was mine. I was pregnant for months but his delivery only took 15 minutes. None of it felt real for the first several hours. T.H. P.: How did you come up with that name? Whitney: We knew that we didn’t want a crazy or unique name. I thought it would be cute to have a little boy named Benji. ...

Miss Raelynn on the blog - Interview with Mom - Topeka's Newborn Photographers

Image
What an adorable little human! Raelynn was one of the most expressive babies we've ever photographed. We had lots of laughs as she made all sorts of faces and just looked adorable the whole time. Mom and dad are completely in love. It was great to be able to capture that special connection of the whole family. Here are some of our favorites from their session. Enjoy. T.H. Peterson: What was your pregnancy like? Did you have any food aversions or cravings? Cara: Amazing. I never thought I’d enjoy and miss feeling her little kicks in there!  I absolutely hated the smell of eggs and never really craved specific things but when I wanted a certain food I was starving until I got it! T.H. P.: What was your first thought when you saw Raelynn? Cara: Holy cow she’s beautiful and I can’t believe I made that. Then when I looked over and saw her dad tearing up after telling me he wouldn’t it just made everything seem even more worth it. T.H. P.: How did you come up with her name? Cara: It was...

Alexander's newborn session - Interview with Mom - Topeka's Newborn Photographers

Image
What a cutie pie! Alexander was so much fun to photograph. Dad was like, "you're photographing the cutest baby ever" and I have to admit he is one adorable baby! His eyes! He was perfect in every picture! He has a lot of personality and I loved that he gave us so many expressions. Photographing him and his family was just so much fun! Here are a few of our favorites! Enjoy! T.H. Peterson: How did you find out you were pregnant? Lindsay: My husband had a dream three nights in a row that I was pregnant with a baby boy. I told him he was crazy, but took a pregnancy test about a week later, and it was positive!  T.H. P.: How did you tell your husband, what did you he think? Lindsay: He knew I was taking the test, so there was no big fancy reveal or anything. We were both so incredibly excited and nervous! T.H. P.: What was your pregnancy like? Did you have any aversions to foods or any special cravings? Lindsay: I didn’t have any of the crazy “pickles and ice cream” kinds o...
