Hard to believe it's been over 10 years since we started photographing Tim and Angie and they seriously do not seem to age!! We are doing these special couple shoots in our studio and it's been so fun. Every couple has their own chemistry and capturing that is awesome. Tim and Angie are the real deal. They love each other. I cracked a joke about arguing and they were like, "we don't!" I believe it! They are so photogenic and made my job so easy.  This is Josiah's last week and I wanted to spend a little time with him taking some fun shots down at the West Bottoms in KC. Such a great spot! Josiah has been such a great help this past summer. He was actually referred by another local photographer who didn't have work for him but I gave him a shot and I am so thankful I did. He has not only been a great worker but I've learned a lot about video working with him. He's been a good assistant and has been good with holding lights for us, doing some basic editing in our studio and just an all around nice person to spend time with. He's got a good attitude, he works hard and he's got good goals for his future and even though this is his last week with us, he's going to work on some more projects with us including our new venture wedding videography.  This family was in for a BIG surprise when Lu, a former exchange student from Germany, came back to visit! They were so excited and so they decided to do a session to celebrate. Their portraits came out amazing! But the funny thing was it wasn't without it's challenges. These were done at night and it was cold and WINDY!!! So we had to find a great spot to do these where we wouldn't be blown away. At the capitol building we found this area that worked out amazing. It was a good thing too because the forecast called for some rain too. All in all it was a fast but great session. A family who loves each other and was super excited to see an old friend and we were there to capture it... I love it. We love the Mercer family. We've lost count how often we've been able to photograph them and it's always a blast. Such a great family! Super excited to share Landon and Jessica's engagement session! The cherry blossoms are blooming and the weather is perfect! Sure, a little windy but it is just amazing out! We shoot at the Governor's Mansion a bit but for these guys, it was truly the perfect location. I feel excited about the results and my biggest goal for sure in our engagement sessions is to really portray the love I see between two people. And I feel that we definitely got that with this session. They look so comfortable and happy with each other and it just makes it excited for their big day!  These photos are long overdue and we're excited to finally be able to blog them! We did these last spring or summer and so that's why these photos are so green and full of flowers! We did these lovely photos at Gage Park in Topeka. For little kids, it's one of our favorite locations as there are lots of wonderful little nooks and crannies to stick them in lol!  This morning, we had a fantastic session with Kyra! What an adorable, beautiful little girl! She is in our First Year Baby Plan and so it was great seeing her again and how much she's grown! She's beautiful and we were surprised at how smiley she was! Three month olds generally don't smile as much as she did so that made us so happy! We look forward to more sessions with her!  It was a windy one but Trisha and Jayden were super good sports! They even brought their brand new puppy that they just recently adopted.
