Landon's senior session took us to the countryside just south of Rossville near Willard, Kansas, (not far from his high school in St. Marys)  and it ended up being one of those evenings that photographers hope for. We had the most beautiful sunset, a quiet river,   dirt roads, and fields of tall overgrown grass. At first glance, it might not seem like a location with a lot of variety, but that's part of the fun. I love finding creative ways to make a simple location feel unique, and I think we did exactly that. Every stop gave us a different look, and by the end of the session it felt like we had photographed in several completely different places. Even better, everything fit Landon perfectly. He looked comfortable, confident, and in his element. Landon was such a fun senior to work with. We had such a great time photographing McKenna’s senior pictures! We started at the Governor’s Mansion and then made our way down to the river at River State Park. The weather could not have been better—it was one of those afternoons where everything just came together perfectly. McKenna was such a natural in front of the camera, with a beautiful smile and great style. Her outfits fit the scenery so well and added even more to the overall look of her photos. Some of my favorite moments from the session were capturing her in the wildflowers, walking along the wooded paths, and of course down by the river. Ashton was a seriously awesome photographic subject! It was cold, rainy, windy, very unpleasant to say the least but he wanted to go for it. I appreciate his attitude and after meeting him I could see that his artistic background and mindset could see past the gloomy weather and could tell we could make something very special for him! He had a lot of ideas and I believe the execution of his ideas made for some amazing imagery. I was thoroughly impressed with his art and very much enjoyed his positive and fun personality. Ainsley was one of the most interesting people I've ever photographed. We had lots of ideas to get through but I knew that these were supposed to really exude drama and art and emotion and I love the end results! I wanted to use light and shadows to really accentuate how truly unique Ainsley is. I loved the choice of outfits and the hair and just everything about the session. These are some of our favorites!
