Interview with Kayla Benson - Shawnee Heights High Grad - Class of 2018 - Topeka's Best Senior Portraits

Image
Kayla is a beautiful, smart, extremely personable young lady! Photographing her was so easy and so much fun. I remember during her session, it was COLD!!! But she had a great attitude and resolve to smile and laugh the whole time. I always say if someone is willing to have their portraits done when despite the weather, then so am I. I am willing to stick it out with them! And Kayla has a great attitude. I know with her attitude and personality she will achieve great things. One thing I admire about Kayla is her outlook and goals at her age. I am honored to have met her and super excited about how her shoot turned out. Here are highlights from her session. Enjoy! T.H. Peterson:  What is something you like about going to Shawnee Heights? Kayla:  Definitely the school spirit!! #bestschoolinthenation   T.H. P.:  What are your plans after high school? Kayla:  I’m still deciding between Wichita State and Emporia State, but I plan on double majoring i...

Carly and Lars's engagement session at KS Governor's Mansion - Topeka's Best Wedding Photographers

Image
Ahhh!!! Carly and Lars!! Such a great couple. We had such an awesome time with these guys. I mean this 100% they were complete naturals in front of the camera. It was so easy to photograph them. They have wonderful smiles and were so romantic and cuddly and happy and comfortable with each other. I didn't even feel like I was working. I loved everything we photographed of them. These are the highlights but there was much more. The weather was good, the clouds were amazing. And we did get a beautiful sunset that just finished up their session beautifully! And as a special treat, we found the coolest truck in the parking lot. We couldn't help ourselves. We had to pose with it! Hill Wedding - Taylor and Jessica's beautiful Texas wedding - Flyin' Feathers Ranch - Gilmer, Texas

Image
This wedding was a real treat for us. We got to travel to Texas to a beautiful wedding location in Gilmer, Texas called Flyin' Feathers Ranch.   The amazing thing is I've been through Gilmer many times. I didn't realize this til I got there. But I drive through there when I go home periodically in Louisiana. Anyway, we showed up to the location, I was so happy because the venue is beautiful. The grounds are awesome. The view on the lake is amazing. It was a perfect backdrop to their ceremony and portraits afterwards. There were so many things about this wedding that I loved like the sun as it peeked through the pine trees after the ceremony. The reception area. The food was amazing. I jokingly told Jessica and Taylor that I had to come all the way to Texas to get amazing bbq and the chef was from Kansas! How funny! It was amazing. I had the burnt ends and I keep thinking about it! I loved the laid back feel of their reception. It was a great time with lots of visiting and...

Interview with Kayla Nickles - Washburn Rural HS Class of 2018 - Topeka's Best Senior Portraits

Image
This lovely young lady is Kayla Nickles and she is one of the sweetest young ladies ever. Her smile is amazing and photographing her was so much fun. We basically kept the whole session downtown which is always fun. She brought several instruments that she plays and that was great incorporating those. She was so easy going and agreeable it was like just hanging out with a friend. I loved her whole session but shooting the session at the end on Kansas Ave at night was pretty awesome. Some of my favorite images from her session happened there. Thank you for checking out Kayla's shoot. It was a blast. Hope you enjoy these! Feel free to comment on the blog or on our facebook page. Thanks! T.H. Peterson:  What is the best thing about going to school at Washburn Rural HS? Kayla:  The best thing about Washburn Rural High School are the opportunities to get involved and to create a family within whatever you become a part of. T.H. P.:  Where do you want to go to c...
