We are absolutely thrilled to share this blog post with the world! Dakota Knight from Lebo, is one awesome senior! He stays busy with football and then he finds time to be a rodeo clown on top of that! When he's not doing battle on the football field, he's protecting bull riders from crazy bulls! We actually had the opportunity to join him at the rodeo where we got to see him in action. It was pretty amazing and it's definitely exciting and intense. We are so thankful that we got to take part in such a great experience. The first part of this blog is the photos from his session. Then we have a few from him at the rodeo. At the very end we have a slideshow we made for him. It has a lot more images from both sessions for you to enjoy!
This is Lily, his amazing hunting dog. She was one of the sweetest dogs I ever met!

Now this was a special session! It's not often we photograph multiples for newborn sessions but these little girls were just perfect and despite them being born several months ago, because they were so premature they photographed just like brand new newborns! They were perfect! What a wonderful session and what a special story mom has to tell! T.H. Peterson: What did you think when you found out you were having twins? Taylor.: I was shocked and did not know anything about twins before being pregnant with them. I later found out identical twins are a fluke and do not run in families. It’s been been a learning experience for sure but I would not trade it for the world. T.H. P.: What did you think when you first saw them? Taylor.: Due to complication of twin-to-twin transfusion syndrome, I had the girls via c-section at 29 weeks. My first glance was brief before they were whisked away to the NICU. I remember thinking how small they were (Janie-3.6 lbs & Jovie-2.1 lbs) and how fe

Select outfits that will make for a timeless portrait. Choose practical clothing items, and keep the location and time of year in mind. Select clothing items and accessories that are not too distracting or that you will have to adjust often during the session (think long necklaces or ruffled tops on a windy day). Keep in mind the weather, wind speed, and humidity/chance of rain. If you have littles, bring them some snacks to help give them incentives during the session. This can help us to get kids to cooperate and make or break a session. If it is windy, wear your hair up. Trimming your bangs/hair slightly to keep them out of your eyes is a great idea, too! Use product like mousse, gel, pomade, and hairspray to tame your mane! Pick shoes that will be easy to walk in at the location of the session. Tracer was such a sweet baby! I remember almost immediately when we started the session, he was comfortable and ready to be posed. Usually it takes a min to get them settled but he was a very good baby. I mean just look at that smile. He smiled almost right at the beginning and he was just a blast to photograph! Sawyer is a CUTE kid! He was so chill and photographing him was a blast. I love the portraits we got of him and the images with mom and dad are super special! He even gave us a smile right at the start! Even as a newborn you can see he's got lots of personality! T.H. Peterson: What did you think when you first saw Sawyer? Jill: I was just so happy and excited that he was finally here. It felt so unreal! T.H. P.: How did you come up with his name? Jill: We struggled at first trying to find ones we both liked. We wanted something different, but not weird and we both liked Sawyer! For his middle names, we both liked Ellis and thought it went well with Sawyer, and Wayne after my dad who passed in 2012. T.H. P.: Something you liked about your session with us? I loved how good you guys Jill: were with him. Destrie: I have always loved the name Diego, and so I knew when I had a second boy he would have that name. T.H. P.: What does big bro think? Destrie: His brother is in total awe of him. Always checking on him and making sure to say “what mister” anytime he cries. T.H. P.: What is something you liked about your session with us? Destrie: Took the time to let him calm down and then got right back into it as soon as he was ready! T.H. P.: Who does he look like? Hanna, who is a long time client, has recently begun helping us with newborns and it's been a huge blessing not only to our business but to her as well as she has had an opportunity to grow as a photographer herself and practice on getting better at wrapping and posing babies. She is growing by leaps and bounds and I am so thankful to have her on our team! She's someone I always appreciate having around! What a handsome little guy! I loved photographing Declan and his session was just perfect! I especially loved capturing the details like his spikey hair. Totally adorable! What a sweet baby! We had a wonderful time with Kayson and his mom and dad. They are so proud of him and you can tell they are going to raise him right and give him lots of love his whole life.
