Interview with Marissa Bates - Silver Lake Grad Class of 2018 - Topeka's Best Senior Portraits

We had a really great time with Marissa! She was very photogenic and happy to have her portraits done. She wanted primarily country / rural setting which honestly isn't as common. Lots of seniors want urban, downtown alleys, etc so that was a nice change and honestly, one thing I really enjoyed about her session was how the sun looked in her hair so that is something we are able to capture much more easily in a rural setting. I don't think we had a cloud in the sky which really gave us great light and at sunset and dusk the light was AMAZING!!! Marissa is an easy going girl with a beautiful smile! She was tons of fun to hang out with and photograph. Her outfits were great. Her locations were amazing. One of these images are definitely going to have to grace our walls at our display at the mall! I love them all!
T.H. Peterson: What are your plans after high school?
Marissa: I am going to Pitt State to play volleyball and study Pre-Dental.
T.H. P.: What's your favorite thing about going to schools at Silver Lake?
Marissa: I love the community and support when it comes to sports and activities.
T.H. P.: What is your favorite and least favorite classes so far this year?
Marissa: My favorite class is probably jewelry because I love art and my least favorite is Economy and Government because I get the most homework!

T.H. P.: What is your favorite place to eat in Topeka?
Marissa: My favorite place to eat in topeka is Chickfila!
T.H. P.: Have you ever been injured playing and what is your pet peeve when it comes to volleyball?
Marissa: No never been injured and my biggest pet peeve would probably be when someone serves it in the net cause it's a free point to the other team.
T.H. P.: What song brings back memories from your childhood?
Marissa: The song that brings back memories from my childhood would be Boom Boom Pow by the Black Eyed Pees.

T.H. P.: What is the best advice your mom ever gave you?
Marissa: If you don't have anything nice to say don't say it at all.
T.H. P.: What's a junk food your obsessed with?
Marissa: A junk food I am obsessed with would be any kind of ice cream or
snow cone.
T.H. P.: What's the craziest thing you've ever done?
Marissa: The craziest thing I've ever done was Zip Lining in Jamaica!
T.H. P.: What makes you REALLY happy?
