Ainsley's newborn session - Osage County's Premier Portrait Studio - Topeka Newborn Photographers

 We were very excited to meet this beautiful little girl. We were honored to photograph mom and dad's wedding and so to be able to photograph Ainsley was such a treat and very special for us. To me it's a great thing to see the family grow and see more children be born. It's amazing. I love how cute they are and how excited the family is to be able to be around them. It's a time that families truly cherish their newest members. It's so beautiful. Ainsley did excellent. She fell asleep reasonably quickly and was the perfect model for us! I love the different looks we got and one of my favorite things was the adorable little smile she ended up giving us. It was perfect. Here's some highlights from her session. Ethan was such a joy to photograph during his newborn session! He is a beautiful, mellow little guy with big, sweet eyes and the most precious expressions. He made our job so easy with how chill and happy he was throughout the session. Interview with Hunter Kirkwood - Washburn Rural Class of 2026 - Topeka's Best Senior Portraits

It was such a great morning photographing Hunter for his senior session at the lake. When we arrived, we were surprised at how empty the park was. It made the whole session feel peaceful and relaxed, and it gave us plenty of space to capture some great photos. The morning started off cloudy and a little dreary, but by the end of the session the sun began to come out, giving us some beautiful light to finish with. The whole setting felt calm, comfortable, and just really enjoyable. One thing that stood out right away about Hunter was how easy he was to talk to. He has a great personality and made the session feel very natural. We had some great conversations while walking around the lake and finding different spots for photos. Linley was such a beautiful little baby, and she already looks so much like her mama. One of the first things you notice about her is her hair—it’s lighter in color, but so incredibly thick that you can’t miss it. Most of the time with blonde babies, it’s hard to tell just how much hair they have, but not with Linley. She has a full head of it, and it photographed so beautifully. She was calm, sweet, and made the session feel easy from start to finish. We were also able to capture some really special moments with her big sister, who absolutely adored her and loved being part of the session. Baby Penelope was absolutely adorable and had a full head of beautiful hair that everyone noticed right away. Her mom was completely crazy about her, and it was so sweet to see the love between them during the session. Penelope was such a calm baby most of the time, which made the whole experience feel very relaxed and peaceful. Even when she had a few little fussy moments here and there, she settled right back down and kept everyone smiling. One of my favorite things about Penelope was how expressive she was. Kyren was truly one of the most chill babies we’ve ever photographed. From the moment he came in, he was calm, sweet, and just went with the flow. He has so much hair and gave us the cutest little expressions throughout the session. Honestly, he made our job so easy. He let us move him, pose him, and try different setups without a fuss. Sessions like that are such a gift, and we were able to capture some really beautiful images of him. This was also one of the sessions where our new assistants were getting some hands-on practice, and they had the best time working with Kyren. How to Prepare for a Photo Session - Topeka's Best Family Portrait Photographers

Select outfits that will make for a timeless portrait. Choose practical clothing items, and keep the location and time of year in mind.  Select clothing items and accessories that are not too distracting or that you will have to adjust often during the session (think long necklaces or ruffled tops on a windy day).  Keep in mind the weather, wind speed, and humidity/chance of rain.  If you have littles, bring them some snacks to help give them incentives during the session.  This can help us to get kids to cooperate and make or break a session.  If it is windy, wear your hair up.  Trimming your bangs/hair slightly to keep them out of your eyes is a great idea, too! Use product like mousse, gel, pomade, and hairspray to tame your mane!    Pick shoes that will be easy to walk in at the location of the session.  For example, high heels are not recommended for sunflower shoots, but would look great in an urban/downtown ...

Catalina was such a sweet little baby and an absolute natural in front of the camera. She made our job so easy with her calm, laid-back personality, and her full head of hair was impossible not to notice!
