Interview with Faith Holmberg - Osage City High - Class of 2018 - Topeka's Best Senior Portraits



AWESOME shoot with Faith from Osage!! I loved her shoot! I feel like her shoot actually symbolizes the kind of shoot I always want to photograph. It's a rural, rustic, location with a down to earth, happy, smiley, super friendly senior. Faith was such a great subject. She was into the shoot. Her dogs were an adorable addition to her session. T.H. Peterson: What do you like most about Osage City high?

Faith: The sports

T.H. P.: What do you want to do after high school?

Faith: I plan to do something along the lines of child care.

T.H. P.: What is your favorite and least favorite class this year?

Faith: Favorite class would have to be Government. My least favorite would have to be Computer Graphics.

T.H. P.: I love where we did your senior photos. What is the significance of the property to you and your family?

Faith: It is where most of my family used to live. It was one of my favorite places to go and stay and I have a lot of good memories out there.

T.H. P.: Your dogs are super cute and funny. What do you love about them most?

Faith: How they always like to cuddle.

T.H. P.: What did you like most about your shoot with us?

Faith: You knew what you were doing and had some really cute poses for me to do and you found a neat building I take some good pictures at.

T.H. P.: What is your favorite outdoor activity?

Faith: Camping

T.H. P.: It's 70s and sunny. You rolling down the highway with the windows down. 

What do you have blaring on the stereo?
Faith: Country music

T.H. P.: Who’s your favorite?Faith: Scotty McCreery

T.H. P.: Describe your fashion sense?

Faith: Casual

T.H. P.: Best advice your mom ever gave you.

Faith: Stay alive, don’t die

Now this was a special session! It's not often we photograph multiples for newborn sessions but these little girls were just perfect and despite them being born several months ago, because they were so premature they photographed just like brand new newborns! We had the most absolutely perfect day for the Popkess family's spring session at Ward Meade. Sadly the tulips are all gone however the lush greenery made a perfect backdrop anywhere we posed this adorable family! How to Prepare for a Photo Session - Topeka's Best Family Portrait Photographers

Select outfits that will make for a timeless portrait. Choose practical clothing items, and keep the location and time of year in mind.  Select clothing items and accessories that are not too distracting or that you will have to adjust often during the session (think long necklaces or ruffled tops on a windy day).  Keep in mind the weather, wind speed, and humidity/chance of rain.  If you have littles, bring them some snacks to help give them incentives during the session.  This can help us to get kids to cooperate and make or break a session.  If it is windy, wear your hair up.  Trimming your bangs/hair slightly to keep them out of your eyes is a great idea, too! Use product like mousse, gel, pomade, and hairspray to tame your mane!    Pick shoes that will be easy to walk in at the location of the session.  For example, high heels are not recommended for sunflower shoots, but would look great in an urban/downtown setting.  Bring an extra jacket or cardigan to th

What a beautiful baby boy and it was great to have his whole family right there with him as we did this session. These are some of our favorites! Enjoy! T.H. Peterson: What did you think when you first saw Diego? Destrie: I thought he was so cute and was also in total shock because I just had another baby! T.H. P.: How did you come up with his name? Destrie: I have always loved the name Diego, and so I knew when I had a second boy he would have that name. T.H. P.: What does big bro think? Destrie: His brother is in total awe of him. What a handsome little guy! I loved photographing Declan and his session was just perfect! I especially loved capturing the details like his spikey hair. Totally adorable! Hanna, who is a long time client, has recently begun helping us with newborns and it's been a huge blessing not only to our business but to her as well as she has had an opportunity to grow as a photographer herself and practice on getting better at wrapping and posing babies. She is growing by leaps and bounds and I am so thankful to have her on our team! She's someone I always appreciate having around! What a sweet baby! We had a wonderful time with Kayson and his mom and dad. They are so proud of him and you can tell they are going to raise him right and give him lots of love his whole life. Cove was the sweetest little girl. She was so mellow and easy to photograph. She was just the cutest baby. During our first moments together, she just stared at me and was so calm, I couldn’t have fallen more in love.  T.H. P.: How did you come up with her name? Sierra: Her big brothers name is Cash, so I knew I wanted another one syllable name. When I stumbled upon Cove and said the names together, it was an instant yes. She’s already gotten the nickname of Coco as well, which is so cute.  T.H. P.: What is life like with a new baby in the house?
