Happy birthday Asher! You ROCK!!! Fun cake smash milestone session - Topeka's Best Baby Photographers

Hey, guys! Today, I want to tell you all about this adorable little dude named Asher and his epic cake smash photoshoot for his first birthday. It was totally rock and roll, and trust me, it was totally awesome!

We started off the shoot by capturing some super cute portraits of Asher around the studio. This kid knows how to work it in front of the camera! He had the biggest, brightest smile you've ever seen, and his expressions were priceless. Every click of the camera seemed to bring out a new adorable grin. #ModelStatus

After getting those awesome portraits, we moved on to the main event—the rock and roll cake smash! Asher's outfit was so cute. As soon as he saw the scrumptious cake in front of him, his eyes lit up with excitement. He couldn't wait to dig in.

Asher dove right into the cake, his little hands smearing frosting everywhere. It was messy, but oh-so-adorable. Who can resist a one-year-old covered in cake? Not me! And definitely not the camera. Pure sugar filled happiness.

He was so easygoing and happy, which made the whole experience so much fun for everyone. We were able to capture so many adorable moments during Asher's cake smash. Basically having his face covered in cake made us laugh and gave us perfect images.

Asher's first birthday cake smash was truly a day to remember. His rock and roll theme, along with his contagious smiles and love for cake, created an atmosphere of pure bliss. It was a reminder of the beauty and innocence of childhood, and a celebration of this little rockstar's first amazing year.

Miss Taylor was such a joy to photograph! We were blessed to capture multiple sessions with her. She is so photogenic and sweet. I love the images that we were able to make for her. How to Prepare for a Photo Session - Topeka's Best Family Portrait Photographers

Select outfits that will make for a timeless portrait. Choose practical clothing items, and keep the location and time of year in mind.  Select clothing items and accessories that are not too distracting or that you will have to adjust often during the session (think long necklaces or ruffled tops on a windy day).  Keep in mind the weather, wind speed, and humidity/chance of rain.  If you have littles, bring them some snacks to help give them incentives during the session.  This can help us to get kids to cooperate and make or break a session.  If it is windy, wear your hair up.  Trimming your bangs/hair slightly to keep them out of your eyes is a great idea, too! Use product like mousse, gel, pomade, and hairspray to tame your mane!    Pick shoes that will be easy to walk in at the location of the session.  For example, high heels are not recommended for sunflower shoots, but would look great in an urban/downtown setting.  Bring an extra jacket or cardigan to th

Grace and Andrew's engagement session ended up being so beautiful! KU is truly one of the most beautiful locations in our area. I told them any angle we point the camera, the background is just gorgeous. They were so much fun to photograph. Such good subjects! And their pup Bentley (I think!) He is adorable! Kiera's shoot was really awesome. The property we got to photograph on was so photogenic and I think was the perfect backdrop to show off her personality and passions! Our session with Eli was great! It was a beautiful day and we focused on his passion for flying! I think in 20+ years, this was a first for me! So much fun and what an interesting experience! I learned a lot just being there and one thing that's always fun is it is a good opportunity for the senior being photographed to talk about what they do and that helps the session and the experience! Malina is a great model! She came in for senior portraits and her session was just amazing! She was fun to photograph and I loved the look of her images, we took them in the middle of the day at Osage Lake and we were able to get some really rich colors and vibrant backgrounds that really complimented her outfits and mood of her session!
