Interview with Robert - Royal Valley Class of 2025 - Topeka's Best Senior Photos

I had the pleasure of photographing Robert, a high school senior from Royal Valley High. Robert is not just your average senior—he’s a football player with an amazing smile and one of the friendliest personalities you could ever meet. We couldn’t have asked for a better day for his session. The weather was perfect, and the sunlight gave everything a warm, golden glow. We started at Ward Meade Park, which is one of my favorite spots. The mix of colorful fall leaves and historic charm gave us some incredible backdrops. Robert was a natural in front of the camera, and his cheerful personality made it easy to capture some great shots. Afterward, we headed out to the countryside near the Governor's Mansion and the Kansas River. The scenery was stunning, especially as the sun began to set. The golden hour light mixed with the vibrant fall colors was absolutely magical. It felt like the perfect way to celebrate the last bits of autumn before the leaves are gone for the season. Overall, Robert’s session was awesome. His friendly energy and the beautiful locations made for a memorable shoot. I can’t wait to see what’s next for him as he finishes high school and takes on new adventures!

T.H. Peterson: What are your plans after high school?

Robert: I plan to study exercise science and play college football.

T.H. P.: What are your favorite classes this year?

Robert: My favorite classes were weights and conditioning and my business economics class.

T.H. P.: What is your dream job?

Robert: I want to become a physical therapist or an athletic trainer.

T.H. P.: Favorite thing mom cooks?

Robert: My favorite thing my mom cooks has to be her Indian tacos.

T.H. P.: What will you miss most about football?

Robert: I will definitely miss the family environment, knowing we all worked for each other and putting everything on the line together.

T.H. P.: Last movie you saw and what did you think about it?

Robert: The last movie I saw was Adam Sandler’s Eight Crazy Nights and I really enjoyed everything even though most of it did not make sense.

T.H. P.: Most fond memory playing football in high school?

Robert: The game after we blew out Jeff-West, we felt like we could do anything on the bus ride home.

T.H. P.: What kind of student are you?

Robert: I think I’m a good student, most of the time. I have all A’s and B’s and I’ve only missed honor roll one time.

T.H. P.: Tell me something you liked about your session with us?

Robert: I liked how easy everything felt, I was stressing about photos I wanted to do beforehand but he had a lot of ideas that I ended up liking a lot.

T.H. P.: Advice you would give yourself as a freshman?

Robert: Work beats talent 100% of the time, just putting effort in can make a world of difference.
