Interview with Ryan House - Washburn Rural Class of 2026 - Topeka's Best Senior Portraits

Ryan’s senior session was such an awesome one! We started downtown and even made our way up to a parking garage that overlooked Topeka — the view was incredible. We made sure to include some shots with his car, which looked great against the city backdrop. After that, we headed out to the country just in time for sunset, and it couldn’t have been more perfect. The fall colors were glowing, and the light was absolutely beautiful.

Ryan has such a great smile and an easygoing personality that made the whole session a blast. When his mom saw the photos, she got emotional and absolutely loved how they turned out — which always makes it extra special. It was an honor to create these portraits for both Ryan and his mom. Truly an awesome session, and I’m so excited to share a few of our favorites!

T.H. Peterson: What classes are you enjoying both this year?
Ryan: I am currently enjoying my residential Carpentry Class the most.

T.H. P: What did you enjoy most about your session with us?
Ryan: During the shoot I liked how easy and natural everything felt.

T.H. P: Dream job?
Ryan: My dream job in life is to become a civil engineer/land surveyor.
T.H. P: Advice mom gives you that you’ll always remember?
Ryan: One piece of advice my mom has given me is that no matter how hard things get in life, you will always have family to help build you back up.
T.H. P: What are your plans after high school?
Ryan: I plan to attend Dunwoody College of Technology in Minnesota.
T.H. P: Favorite thing mom cooks?
Ryan: My favorite thing mom cooks is her street tacos.

T.H. P: Favorite movie?
Ryan: My favorite movies are the two Happy Gilmore movies.

T.H. P: Favorite YouTube channel?
Ryan: I have many favorite YouTube channels, but pretty much anything with golf I’m watching.
T.H. P: Do you have any plans for upgrades on your new car?
Ryan: I have future plans for upgrading my car, but I do eventually want to buy an Audi or Mercedes.
T.H. P: What song could you listen to every day?
Ryan: “There’d Better Be a Mirrorball” by Arctic Monkeys.
