Zayden's newborn session - Interview with mom - Topeka's Best Newborn Photographers

Image
We had the privilege of photographing Zayden’s newborn pictures and it was another successful session for our newborn specialist, Jesse.  She was able to get Zayden to settle and pose with such ease.  She shot the session without any assistants, and the results are so cute!  Zayden took a bit to settle, but once he was warm and swaddled, he passed right out.  What a dream he is!  Those cheeks are so cute, and he has such tiny little hands and feet.  So sweet!  We are happy to share these with you all!  Enjoy! T.H. Peterson:  How did you feel when you found out that you were pregnant? Izzy:  I was excited but nervous. T.H. P.:  What kind of foods did you crave and what kind did you avoid during your pregnancy?  Izzy:  Anything salty and then at the end tootsie Rolls. T.H. P.:  Describe your labor and delivery with Zayden.  Izzy:  I went in on the 3rd to be induced, they started induction and his heartbeat was...

Jack Jackson - Interview with Mom - Topeka's Best Newborn Portraits

Image
Jack came in for a newborn session with his mom. And he had a special challenge for us. He didn’t want to settle right away so we had to work with him to get a few shots.  That happens sometimes lol but no worries, we still captured some adorable images of him! Jack was one of the chunkiest babies we’ve ever seen. He had light blonde hair and round cheeks. One of our favorite images was Jack with his dad’s baseball Jersey. Thanks for checking out his shoot, Jack is such a cute baby!   T.H. Peterson: How did you decide on Jack for the name? Lindsey: My husband and I had always wanted a boy named Jack Jackson.   T.H. P.: Any fun pregnancy stories? Lindsey: I am short and towards the end I could barely drive because my belly kept me from getting close enough to the pedals   T.H. P.: What did you think when you first saw him? Lindsey: He was beautiful and total worth the last 9 months.  T.H. P.: How was your labor? Lindsey: It was fa...

Asher's Newborn Session - Interview with Mom - Topeka's best Newborn Photographers

Image
We welcomed our second newborn to the studio since our training in Wichita and it happened to be this cutie, Asher!  He had so much hair, but it was a very light brown/blonde! And he was very sleepy, making him very cuddly and so sweet!  We immediately welcomed him and his two older siblings, and their parents! Our two newborn assistants worked closely with Asher to soothe him and get him swaddled up for the first part of our session.  Thankfully he had a blowout before we started, making it less risky to go without the diaper! His brother and sister were super cute, too and they were cooperative and helped us get some unique shots of all three of them.  We loved this little family, and Asher’s session was great! Check it out! T.H. Peterson:  How did you and your family feel when you found out you were expecting? Rachel:  We were in shock at first because we took fertility medication to conceive both of our older children and I had always been t...

Remington's Newborn Session - Interview with Mom - Topeka's best Newborn Photographers

Image
Remington came in for her newborn session and she was so cute and cuddly!  We knew she would look absolutely perfect in our new sunflower set up! She was so easy to wrap up and pose!  She got swaddled like a little budding sunflower and posed in a really cool bucket. Then we used the old pink car we have had forever and she posed after a few minutes of soothing. Next, we got her in the old carriage, and then some pictures of her with her parents!  She was a budding little angel and we are over the moon for her images! Enjoy!   T.H. Peterson:   How did you find out you were pregnant? Was it a shock or expected? Kristen: It was definitely a shock! I had been nauseous or actually sick for about three weeks but didn’t think much of it. Finally one day I decided to take a test, even though I was sure it was going to be negative, and that pink positive sign popped up so fast I really didn’t believe it. Soon though disbelief turned it tears of happiness...

Brook's Newborn Session - Interview with Mom - Topeka's best Newborn Photographers

Image
We have been photographing the Reed family for years, so we were excited when Tiffany contacted us for her 4th child’s newborn shoot.  We were not expecting her to bring an 11 lb baby! Brooks is hands down the biggest newborn we have ever shot, and he was so cute and chubby!  We started with the bum up pose, and his back wrinkles looked like a Shar-Pei puppy! This was our first session after intensive training from another photographer, and we did it without a diaper.  Brooks peed all over! TWICE! It was so funny. He had one of the best sessions we have ever had since we had that training. He did a great job with his family, too! We love this session, and it truly is a turning point for our business.  Enjoy!! T.H. Peterson: How did you find out you were pregnant? Was it a shock or expected? Tiffany: I found out I was pregnant the boring old fashioned way- by taking a pregnancy test. The only shock came from the first three negative test...
