Interview with Chase Root - Silver Lake Class of 2024 - Topeka's Best Senior Portraits

Image
We had the awesome opportunity to snap some senior portraits of Chase from Silver Lake High School, and let me tell you, it was a gorgeous evening! We headed over to their family's old country farm, surrounded by cool farm equipment and an iconic old truck. When the sun set, the Kansas River provided the perfect backdrop. The sky turned into a stunning golden masterpiece. It was like something out of a movie. Chase's family was right there, having a blast and making the whole experience even better. We couldn't have asked for a more ideal setting. Those photos captured the essence of Chase's high school journey against that incredible golden sky. Silver Lake, you got a good one! T.H. Peterson: What are your plans after high school? Chase: I am currently undecided but leaning towards attending a technical school. T.H. P.: What would be a dream job?  Chase: Operate my own business. T.H. P.: What are your earliest memories playing ball? Chase: My earliest memories were mad...

Interview with Hannah Gustafson - Shawnee Heights Class of 2024 - Topeka's Best Senior Portraits

Image
Last week, we had the pleasure of shooting senior portraits for Hannah, a vibrant member of the class of 2024. We chose a beautiful rural country property with charming barns and old buildings as our backdrop, creating a picturesque setting for the photoshoot. And let me tell you, the sunset was absolutely amazing! It provided the perfect lighting to make Hannah shine even more. We couldn't have asked for better weather, although there was a brief moment of concern when it started sprinkling. But luckily, the weather cleared up quickly, giving us a stunning end to the session. It's those little unexpected moments that add a touch of excitement to the whole experience. To make the photoshoot even more personal, we decided to incorporate Hannah's dad's truck into some of the shots. It had a weathered look that added a nostalgic and authentic feel to the photos. Plus, it was a great way to showcase Hannah's involvement in the FFA, a testament to her dedication and pass...

Interview with Ty Swisher - Lebo High - Class of 2019 - Topeka's Best Senior Portraits

Image
I really enjoyed our time with Ty. We took a few shots in his basement with his pool table but then we spent the rest of the time on his property with his tractor, combine and Polaris. The clouds were so amazing and truly breath taking. It was the perfect backdrop for a senior shoot on a family farm. Anybody that knows Lebo, knows it's a tiny little rural Kansas town but Ty lives out in the country about 5 miles or so from Lebo. So it was REALLY out in the country. There's something special about locations like that. You truly feel peace and solitude when you're so separated from traffic and people. It's amazing. I really loved Ty's session. I love how his photos turned out and I really admire Ty. He's a good guy, smart, a hard worker and I'm thankful for the opportunity. Thanks for checking out his session! T.H. Peterson:  What do you like most about going to Lebo high? Ty:   What I like most about Lebo high school is that everyone knows everybody! ...

Zach's shoot was so much fun. It was a perfect fall afternoon. Zach is a fun dude to hang out with and he was up for whatever. We did these at Wooster Barn. A wedding venue that belongs to friends of the family. I was surprised that I never heard of this place but it was so awesome that I'll definitely recommend it from here on out! Here's a handful of our favorites along with an interview! Thanks for checking it out! T.H. Peterson:  What do you like most about Seaman High? Zach:   What I like most about seaman high is the atmosphere the school has and how everyone treats each other. T.H. P.:  Favorite class this year? Zach:  My favorite class this year is personal finance because you learn about things you are actually going to use in your life. T.H. P.:  Fishing or bow hunting. What do you like more? Zach:  I enjoy hunting more than I enjoy fishing. T.H. P.:  How long have you hunted? Zach:  I’ve been ...
