Cove's Newborn Session - Interview with Mom - Topeka's Best Newborn Photographers

Image
Cove was the sweetest little girl. She was so mellow and easy to photograph. She was just the cutest baby. It was a lot of fun coming up with poses for her and getting detail shots and images of her with her brother and mom! These are just some of our favorites!! Thanks for checking out Cove's session. So sweet! T.H. Peterson: What did you think when you first saw Cove? Sierra: Well, I cried like a baby myself. During our first moments together, she just stared at me and was so calm, I couldn’t have fallen more in love.  T.H. P.: How did you come up with her name? Sierra: Her big brothers name is Cash, so I knew I wanted another one syllable name. When I stumbled upon Cove and said the names together, it was an instant yes. She’s already gotten the nickname of Coco as well, which is so cute.  T.H. P.: What is life like with a new baby in the house? Sierra: It honestly has been a huge adjustment, but way smoother than I had imagined. Cash is 5 and he’s been super helpful and s...

Daniel's newborn session - Interview with mom - Topeka's Best Newborn Photographers

Image
We have patiently waited for Daniel’s arrival since shooting Alaina’s maternity session. He was just as cute as we expected, and he has so much hair that it could be styled in a mohawk. He had the perfect newborn session, and he was settled the entire time. He was relaxed and sleepy and let us post him and some of our new props, and we got to end the session with him on a saddle. Daniel’s mom is a horse trainer so the saddle meant a lot to her. We are so excited for his pictures, we know you’ll love them too. T.H. Peterson: What did your other children think when you told them you were pregnant with Daniel?   Alaina: David wasnt old enough to understand and he's  still trying to figure it out! Aurora  was suprised but excited to have another sibling.  Who does daniel look more like? T.H. P.: Who does Daniel look most like? Alaina: Most people think he looks like Dad, I just think he looks so much like his brother did. T.H. P.: What is your favo...

Harvey's newborn session - Interview with mom - Topeka Newborn Photographers

Image
Harvey and all of his family came in for a really unique and special session!  Harvey’s mom has been our client and we were so happy when we shot her pregnancy announcement around the holidays.  We were even happier to meet Harvey, swaddle him up like Harry Potter, and take some really awesome photos! We got some great shots of him with his siblings, then spent some time wrapping and posing him.  We loved his session and we know you will too!   T.H. Peterson:  What emotions did you experience when you found out you were pregnant with Harvey? Sara:  Numb disbelief. We were not trying to have another baby, but clearly the universe felt like our family wasn’t complete just yet. T.H. P.:  How are you adjusting to adding him to the family? Sara:  As well as you can be. We are all completely smitten with him. Sleep is lacking though.   T.H. P.:  Did you have any unique experiences with this pregnancy? Was it differ...

Ayla's newborn photos - Interview with mom - Topeka's Best Newborn Photographers

Image
Ayla and her mom and grandpa came in for a session and we were so very excited to see her!  Ayla had such an adorable session with her hippie flowers, her sage wrap and her princess tiara!  We loved every single thing about this sweetheart and her session! We really enjoyed capturing the special bond between mom and her baby, and grandpa, who lit up as he held Ayla.  We are sure you will fall in love with Ayla’s session just like we did! T.H. Peterson:  How did you decide on the name Ayla? Megan:  Ayla was named Everleigh up until about the 5th month of my pregnancy ..due to the fact that we both work/worked in corrections, we both determined that we would attempt to utilize a name that was not common. About a week before we ordered her first personalized item, a kiddo came into my office with the name Everleigh. It was a very sad, neglect case and I didn't want to associate her name with that for the rest of her life. The day that kiddo ca...
