Mallory + Chris - Rea Wedding - Central Presbyterian and Heritage Hall


Chris and Mallory said their I do's on May 24, 2014 and we were there to capture all the love and emotions and crazy moments. Mallory looked stunningly beautiful on her special day! Chris was definitely all smiles and even seemed a little nervous before the ceremony but when Mallory walked down the aisle, there was no denying how happy he was.... he even shed some tears! That was awesome to see! These guys are such a sweet couple and looked so happy together. We're thrilled with their images and we're excited to present them here. Enjoy!!!

    I am the father of the bride and I have not shed a tear over this wedding until I saw this slide show. The power of these photos are overwhelming. Truly an amazing job thank you.

Sweet baby Radley was just three days old for his newborn session, and he was the calmest, chill little guy you could imagine. Such a tiny little thing, with the softest features and the sweetest expressions, he gave us a session full of quiet moments, tiny smirks, and little smiles that made everyone melt. He was so relaxed the entire time, which made it easy to capture those peaceful, cozy newborn images that parents love looking back on. Mom and Dad are already completely in love with him, and you can feel it in every photo. Interview with Laci Cole - Seaman High Class of 2026 - Topeka's Best Senior Portraits

Laci was such a joy to photograph. From the moment she walked into the studio, she was friendly, relaxed, and incredibly easy to work with. She has a great smile and is very photogenic, which always makes a session flow effortlessly. Nothing ever felt awkward, even in between shots, and that made the whole experience feel natural and fun. Her outfits were perfect too—they fit the mood of the photos so well and really pulled everything together. It was also one of those cold, snowy days, so we started inside the studio where it was warm, but we couldn’t resist stepping outside for a few shots. Even with the freezing temps, we were able to capture some really cool images with the snow, and they turned out amazing. It was so nice meeting Laci and her mom—they were both wonderful. Hayes was such a beautiful baby boy! He had lots of hair and was so peaceful and chill, which made our job so much fun. Even though he slept most of the time, every once in a while he would peek his eyes open and give us the funniest little looks. You could tell right away that he had a lot of personality. Mom and Dad are completely smitten with him—they just can’t get over how cute he is! I’m so excited about how these photos turned out. This session was actually a practice for one of our newer assistants learning baby wrapping, and Hayes was the perfect little model to help her learn. Emmy Sue was an absolute dream to photograph. She is beautiful, with perfect skin, and gave us the sweetest little smiles and smirks throughout her session. Baby Benjamin’s newborn session was such a sweet and special experience. He is a tiny, beautiful little guy, and from the moment we started, you could feel how excited Mom and Dad were to be there. We took our time and worked carefully to create soft, beautiful images of him, and he gave us the most adorable little expressions. Every photo felt gentle, calm, and full of love, making the entire session a joy to photograph. Some of my favorite images from Benjamin’s session are the family portraits. We had so much fun taking pictures of baby Sienna recently! Her mom and dad are so in love with her, and you can really feel it when you’re around them.  Sienna was a little fussy at first, and it took a few minutes to get her settled—but once she was, she showed us all kinds of cute expressions. She has so much personality in her little face, and it was so fun to capture that. We got some really beautiful shots with different poses, props, and backdrops. How to Prepare for a Photo Session - Topeka's Best Family Portrait Photographers

Select outfits that will make for a timeless portrait. Choose practical clothing items, and keep the location and time of year in mind.  Select clothing items and accessories that are not too distracting or that you will have to adjust often during the session (think long necklaces or ruffled tops on a windy day).  Keep in mind the weather, wind speed, and humidity/chance of rain.  If you have littles, bring them some snacks to help give them incentives during the session.  This can help us to get kids to cooperate and make or break a session.  If it is windy, wear your hair up.  Trimming your bangs/hair slightly to keep them out of your eyes is a great idea, too! Use product like mousse, gel, pomade, and hairspray to tame your mane!    Pick shoes that will be easy to walk in at the location of the session.  For example, high heels are not recommended for sunflower shoots, but would look great in an urban/downtown ...

Kyren was truly one of the most chill babies we’ve ever photographed. From the moment he came in, he was calm, sweet, and just went with the flow. He has so much hair and gave us the cutest little expressions throughout the session. Honestly, he made our job so easy. He let us move him, pose him, and try different setups without a fuss. Sessions like that are such a gift, and we were able to capture some really beautiful images of him. This was also one of the sessions where our new assistants were getting some hands-on practice, and they had the best time working with Kyren. Delainey was the most perfect little baby! Tiny, precious, and so peaceful, she slept right through almost her entire session. It was a practice session for one of our newer baby assistants, and Delainey made it so easy to wrap and pose her perfectly. She really was a dream to work with!
