Savannah's newborn session - Beautiful newborn session in the studio - Topeka's Best Newborn Photographers


We met Savannah and her mommy and daddy when they came in for her newborn session.  She was so precious and she had the best disposition! Mom brought in some adorable blankets, wraps, and a cute fawn headband!  We noticed right away that Savannah was a happy little girl, and we got several smiles from her! She posed on this adorable rose patterned blanket that mom brought!  We LOVED IT! After a little while in the swaddle, she was ready to break out! We let her stretch her long legs and she was content after that! We ended the session with family pictures and they turned out awesome!  We loved this session and you will too! So Cute!!
T.H. Peterson:  How did you find out you were pregnant? Was it a shock or expected?
Megan:  The pregnancy was planned and I took a pregnancy test as soon as I could. It was 6 AM on a Saturday because I couldn’t sleep!
T.H. P.:  How did your husband react to the news?
Megan:  He was still half asleep when I told him the pregnancy test was positive so it took him a minute to process the news, but then he was excited!
T.H. P.:  What was the first thing you thought when you saw Savannah?
Megan:  She was the most beautiful thing I had ever seen.
T.H. P.:  What was the first thing you thought when you saw Savannah?

T.H. P.:  What was your favorite part about your newborn session with us?  
Megan:  My favorite part of the newborn session was getting to see Savannah pose with all the props and backgrounds. Tommy and Jesse were great to work with and did an awesome job capturing our baby girl!

We had the most absolutely perfect day for the Popkess family's spring session at Ward Meade. Sadly the tulips are all gone however the lush greenery made a perfect backdrop anywhere we posed this adorable family! How to Prepare for a Photo Session - Topeka's Best Family Portrait Photographers

Select outfits that will make for a timeless portrait. Choose practical clothing items, and keep the location and time of year in mind.  Select clothing items and accessories that are not too distracting or that you will have to adjust often during the session (think long necklaces or ruffled tops on a windy day).  Keep in mind the weather, wind speed, and humidity/chance of rain.  If you have littles, bring them some snacks to help give them incentives during the session.  This can help us to get kids to cooperate and make or break a session.  If it is windy, wear your hair up.  Trimming your bangs/hair slightly to keep them out of your eyes is a great idea, too! Use product like mousse, gel, pomade, and hairspray to tame your mane!    Pick shoes that will be easy to walk in at the location of the session.  For example, high heels are not recommended for sunflower shoots, but would look great in an urban/downtown setting.  Bring an extra jacket or cardigan to th

Hanna, who is a long time client, has recently begun helping us with newborns and it's been a huge blessing not only to our business but to her as well as she has had an opportunity to grow as a photographer herself and practice on getting better at wrapping and posing babies. What a sweet baby! We had a wonderful time with Kayson and his mom and dad. They are so proud of him and you can tell they are going to raise him right and give him lots of love his whole life. Cove was the sweetest little girl. She was so mellow and easy to photograph. She was just the cutest baby. Sierra: Her big brothers name is Cash, so I knew I wanted another one syllable name. When I stumbled upon Cove and said the names together, it was an instant yes.
