Interview with Abby Green - Seaman High Class of 2021 - Topeka's Best Senior Portraits

We had a total blast with Abby and her mom during Abby’s senior session.  She was shy, which Tommy can relate to.  But once she got in front of the camera, threw on some cool shades, she came alive!  We really loved all of her pictures downtown, the sun was glowing just like her beautiful smile!  Then, we went out to Shawnee Lake for some amazing shots of Abby and her adorable dog, Pork Chop!  We can’t tell who’s smile was bigger!  Then we finished with some really awesome shots of her on the dock, the greenish blue in her eyes matched the water and the cool tones made her strawberry blonde hair glow.  The full moon in her pictures made for such a majestic ending to an awesome session.  We really loved how Abby was shy, but so confident.  She rocked her session!  Enjoy!
 T.H. Peterson:  If your friends had to describe you in one single word, what would they say?

Abby:  Crazy.

T.H. P.:   What song on the radio right now are you obsessed with? And which one annoys you to no end?
Abby:  Make me by Noah Cyrus, and one that annoys me is Despacito by Luis Fonsi.
T.H. P.:   What is your secret power?
Abby:  I am great at making banana bread and doing realistic animal paintings.
T.H. P.:   What language would you like to speak fluently if you could?
Abby:  Spanish or French.
T.H. P.:   Favorite place to eat in Topeka?
Abby:  Lings
T.H. P.:   Describe yourself in 3 words...
Abby:  Competitive, Artsy, creative.
T.H. P.:   What was your favorite part of the session with us?
Abby:  My favorite part was how funny, and joyful, all three of you guys were.
T.H. P.:   What is one thing you want the older generation to understand about your generation?
Abby:  We are not lazy, and we are trying our best.
T.H. P.:   What sets you apart from the other students in your grade?
Abby:  I am hardworking but at the same time organized.
T.H. P.:   What are your plans after graduation?
Abby:  I plan on going to Washburn, and becoming an ultrasound tech.

Photographing Ty was a blast, he had such a laid back personality and was really easy to pose and direct. One of my favorite families! I was blessed to see these guys at one our last studio events this year and we got some beautiful images of their family! Mr Braxton is on the blog! Interview with Mom - Topeka's Best Newborn Photographers

Introducing sweet baby Braxton! This little guy was such a joy to photograph. With his perfect little face and adorable hair, he was a dream baby. It took him a minute to settle in, but once he did, we captured the most beautiful images of him that truly melted my heart. Braxton’s mom, dad, and big sister are absolutely smitten with him, and it’s easy to see why. During the session, we made sure to include many of the ideas mom and dad brought along, making the photos even more special for their family. How to Prepare for a Photo Session - Topeka's Best Family Portrait Photographers

Select outfits that will make for a timeless portrait. Choose practical clothing items, and keep the location and time of year in mind.  Select clothing items and accessories that are not too distracting or that you will have to adjust often during the session (think long necklaces or ruffled tops on a windy day).  Keep in mind the weather, wind speed, and humidity/chance of rain.  If you have littles, bring them some snacks to help give them incentives during the session.  This can help us to get kids to cooperate and make or break a session.  If it is windy, wear your hair up.  Trimming your bangs/hair slightly to keep them out of your eyes is a great idea, too! Use product like mousse, gel, pomade, and hairspray to tame your mane!    Pick shoes that will be easy to walk in at the location of the session.  For example, high heels are not recommended for sunflower shoots, but would look great in an urban/downtown ...

Interview with Haley Custenborder - Topeka High Class of 2025 - Topeka's Best Senior Portraits

Last week, I had the chance to photograph Haley, and it was such a fun experience! Haley is super cute and has a great personality that made the session so easy and enjoyable. We started at the Topeka Zoo, where she had a really special moment with the giraffes. Haley is passionate about giraffes, and she even got to feed them, which made for some amazing and unique photos. You could tell how much she loves them, and it was awesome to capture that connection on camera. After the zoo, we headed to the golf course for some more photos. Golf is another big part of Haley's life, and it’s something she’s been doing for a long time. She’s really good at it too! The photos at the course were so cool because they showed a different side of her personality. It was a perfect way to wrap up the session, blending her love for animals and her passion for sports. Forrest's newborn session - Interview with mom - Topeka's Best Newborn Photographers

I recently had the joy of photographing an adorable baby named Forrest. He was so sweet, and his expressions could melt anyone’s heart. His mom was completely head over heels for him, and it was easy to see why. We set up a variety of different scenes to capture his cuteness, and he looked precious in every single one. From soft, cozy blankets to playful props, Forrest’s personality shined through in every photo. It was such a fun session, and I loved seeing the bond between Forrest and his mom. Last week, I had the honor of photographing a beautiful baby girl named Laya in our studio. She was the perfect baby, so calm and peaceful throughout the session. Her mom and big brother came along, and you could just feel how much they love her. It was such a sweet moment seeing how they looked at her with so much pride and joy. We tried so many adorable newborn poses and props, and Laya absolutely rocked every single one of them. She gave us the cutest little expressions, making the photos even more special. Madison was such a blast to photograph! She’s super fun and full of energy, and her smile made every picture look amazing. We started her session downtown, then went to Ward-Meade Park, and ended near the Governor's Mansion at sunset. The golden hour lighting was so pretty, and it made her photos look magical.
