Interview with Kelsey Herman - Washburn Rural High Class of 2021 - Topeka's Best Senior Portraits

 Kelsey is one of the happiest, most photogenic seniors we have ever had the pleasure of photographing! Not only did she blow us away with her adorable smile, bright eyes, and beautiful hair, but she had a personality that radiated throughout the entire session!  She was so fun to be around, and we know how much joy she brings to her mom’s life.  We could see it in her mom’s smile as she watched her session.  She is definitely a bright light in this world, with a positive attitude.  From the state capitol to the governor’s mansion, there wasn’t a pose she didn’t look dynamite in!  Kelsey’s session will knock your socks off!  Enjoy!
 T.H. Peterson:  What is your favorite class from high school and why?
 Kelsey:  PE classes. I can let out all of my energy and play fun games.
 T.H. P.:   If money was no object, what kind of vehicle would you drive and why?
 Kelsey:  White Jeep Wrangler. They look clean and beautiful!
 T.H. P.:   What would people be surprised to learn about you?
 Kelsey:  I’m not easily disgusted by things.
  T.H. P.:   What is your favorite thing about going to High School?
  Kelsey:   Making new friends and going to fun events with my friends.
 T.H. P.:   So are you going to college? If so, what are you going to study?
 Kelsey:  Yes, I’m going to be a labor and delivery nurse.
 T.H. P.:   What would be a dream job unrelated to your current plans after high school? (Like not in the same field you will be studying)
 Kelsey:  A travel influencer/ a model
 T.H. P.:   What do you like to do for fun?
 Kelsey:   Dance and be in the great outdoors with my friends and family
 T.H. P.:   What movie from your childhood do you watch now and relate to the most?
 Kelsey:   Goonies
 T.H. P.:  What was your favorite part of the session with us?
 Kelsey:  I was comfortable being around the photographers and I felt beautiful!!

Eli Feather - Class of 2025 - Topeka's Best Senior Portraits

Our session with Eli was great! It was a beautiful day and we focused on his passion for flying! I think in 20+ years, this was a first for me! So much fun and what an interesting experience! I learned a lot just being there and one thing that's always fun is it is a good opportunity for the senior being photographed to talk about what they do and that helps the session and the experience! I've known Eli since he was little and so this was a great moment to be able to capture this milestone for him and his family. He's a great kid with a bright future! T.H. How to Prepare for a Photo Session - Topeka's Best Family Portrait Photographers

Select outfits that will make for a timeless portrait. Choose practical clothing items, and keep the location and time of year in mind.  Select clothing items and accessories that are not too distracting or that you will have to adjust often during the session (think long necklaces or ruffled tops on a windy day).  Keep in mind the weather, wind speed, and humidity/chance of rain.  If you have littles, bring them some snacks to help give them incentives during the session.  This can help us to get kids to cooperate and make or break a session.  If it is windy, wear your hair up.  Trimming your bangs/hair slightly to keep them out of your eyes is a great idea, too! Use product like mousse, gel, pomade, and hairspray to tame your mane!    Pick shoes that will be easy to walk in at the location of the session.  For example, high heels are not recommended for sunflower shoots, but would look great in an urban/downtown setting.  Bring an extra jacket or cardigan to th

Our session with Trenten was outstanding. It was great because we really got to showcase his passion in life which are the sports he plays. We highlighted wrestling, football and baseball. Raylynn Paige's Newborn Session - Interview with Mom - Topeka's Best Newborn Photographers

What an adorable baby. On more than one occasion during our session, I heard mom say, "She's sooo cute!" I totally agree, what a beautiful tiny little human. So precious. Perfect little features and I even commented to mom that it is very common for babies to have blotchy skin or blemishes but her skin was perfect, like no flakes at all! Pretty amazing. Camah and Damen's big day - Beautiful ceremony at Cedar Valley Forest - De Soto, KS - Kansas Wedding Photographers

It's been a month since I had the pleasure of photographing Damen and Camah’s beautiful wedding at Cedar Forest Valley in De Soto, KS. The venue was absolutely stunning—surrounded by lush trees, rolling hills, and an awesome pond that added a touch of magic to the whole setting. From the moment I arrived, everyone was in such great spirits as they got ready. The small, intimate wedding party made the day feel even more special, with so many laughs and so much happiness filling the rooms as the couple prepared for their big moment. The outdoor ceremony by the pond was truly gorgeous. With their closest friends and family gathered around, Damen and Camah exchanged vows against the backdrop of serene water and towering trees. I really enjoyed meeting and photographing Kylee. She is so photogenic and was a natural in front of the camera! Miss Taylor was such a joy to photograph! We were blessed to capture multiple sessions with her. She is so photogenic and sweet. I love the images that we were able to make for her. Damien and Brianna's Big Day - Amazing Wedding at Abe and Jake's Landing - Lawrence, Kansas

In August, I had the privilege of photographing Damien and Brianna’s wedding at Abe and Jake's Landing in Lawrence, Kansas. Surrounded by their closest friends and family, the day was full of love, laughter, and so much joy. The ceremony was intimate and heartfelt, with Damien and Brianna exchanging vows in front of everyone they care about most. It was clear how much love they have for each other. After the ceremony, the reception was a blast! There was tons of dancing, laughter, and fun as everyone celebrated Damien and Brianna's big day. The energy in the room was incredible, and it was clear everyone was having an amazing time. From the first dance to the last song, the reception was packed with unforgettable moments.
