Interview with Giselle - Washburn Rural Class of 2025 - Topeka's Best Senior Portraits

I have known Giselle since she was just a young girl and have had the honor of photographing many sessions for her. It was an honor to capture such a special session for her. I was excited because I knew her shoot would be special. She is beautiful and I knew she would bring it all to her session. It was perfect. The weather, the lighting, her personality, absolutely perfect and I'm in love with how everything turned out. I am proudly sharing this session with you! T.H. Peterson: What are your plans after high school? 

Giselle: Go to college in state and study in dental hygiene or Elementary

education to be a kindergarten teacher.

T.H. P.: What classes are you glad to be done with? 

Giselle: I’m so happy to be done with Physics and English! 

T.H. P.: What makes you feel confident? 

Giselle: My smile.

T.H. P.: Something you liked about your session with us? 

Giselle: You have taken our family photos for about a decade now and you take your time and don’t ever rush me. I enjoy how chill you are! 

T.H. P.: Dream job? 

Giselle: Being an Elementary teacher, I look forward to going to work everyday to help kids grow and learn! 

T.H. P.: What do you like most about cheer and dive? 

Giselle: One thing I love about cheer is creating bonds with people you never knew before highschool and getting to make forever memories. Dive team is another story, I love making memories during dry land and in the water with amazing people from 5 other schools.

T.H. P.: Describe your fashion sense with a song title.  

Giselle: Glamorous by Fergie or Pretty Boy Swag by Soulja Boy,  it depends on the day. 

T.H. P.: Favorite movie of all time? 

Giselle: The original Little Mermaid. 

T.H. P.: What is your secret power? 

Giselle: I’m a kid whisper. 

T.H. P.: Quick give me a fun fact! Giselle: I’m dyslexic and I’m on the Honor Roll, I’m also still in love with teenage Justin Bieber.

I had a great time hanging out with Shawn. I love how his session turned out. We started at the gym to get some great basketball shots of him. He's clearly very passionate about playing and I love how these images really capture that. We then headed to Gage Park and downtown. What started off as a cloudy day ended in the perfect pink and blue sky; the afterglow of the sun setting was just incredible. A Country Celebration: Ryan and Abigail's Love-Filled Wedding at Circle S Ranch - Lawrence, KS Wedding

In May, I had the chance to photograph Ryan and Abigail at Circle S Ranch, just outside of Lawrence, KS. The place was totally country with beautiful rolling hills stretching as far as the eye could see. It was a sunny, warm day, and you could just feel the love in the air. Abigail is a strong and lovely woman with so much personality and beauty. Her smile could light up a room, and she radiated confidence. Ryan, on the other hand, is the sweetest, funniest, and most tender person you'll ever meet. His playful nature and kind heart made it clear why Abigail fell for him. The moment Abigail came out for their first look was unforgettable. Ryan was in tears, overwhelmed by his love for her. They decided to exchange their vows privately, away from the crowd, which made the moment even more intimate and touching. The way they looked at each other during their vows was heartwarming. Miss Maddox Jolene - Interview with Mom - Topeka's Best Newborn Photographers

Maddox is such a perfect baby! Her features are just precious and she was such a good model for us! So chill and happy. It was a lot of fun and we tried out some new poses with her and she did great! Peterson: What did you think when you first saw Maddox?  Mariah: I was in total awe when I first saw Maddox. I couldn’t believe I had created this beautiful, perfect, little baby child. T.H. P.: How did you come up with her name?  Mariah: My grandma, my mom, and myself all have names that start with “M” so I knew if I ever had a daughter that she would need an “M” name too. I have always loved the name Maddox, especially for a girl! I was afraid to suggest it to my husband because I loved it so much and I didn’t want him to void the name 😅 he also loved it! Charlie was the perfect little model. Just look at her face! She is so cute and weather she was sound asleep or awake, she had the best expression! How to Prepare for a Photo Session - Topeka's Best Family Portrait Photographers

Select outfits that will make for a timeless portrait. Choose practical clothing items, and keep the location and time of year in mind.  Select clothing items and accessories that are not too distracting or that you will have to adjust often during the session (think long necklaces or ruffled tops on a windy day).  Keep in mind the weather, wind speed, and humidity/chance of rain.  If you have littles, bring them some snacks to help give them incentives during the session.  This can help us to get kids to cooperate and make or break a session.  If it is windy, wear your hair up.  Trimming your bangs/hair slightly to keep them out of your eyes is a great idea, too! Use product like mousse, gel, pomade, and hairspray to tame your mane!    Pick shoes that will be easy to walk in at the location of the session.  For example, high heels are not recommended for sunflower shoots, but would look great in an urban/downtown setting.  Bring an extra jacket or cardigan to th

What a precious little girl! We had the pleasure of photographing Miss Ayden. She is so pretty and was a great little model for us. She isn't technically a newborn but she spent some time in the NICU so we finally were able to capture some beautiful images of her and I especially loved her personality and her attentiveness and interest in us. Annie: When I first saw Ayden, my thought was that my she was small but beautiful.  That she looked identical to her big sister when she was born.  T.H. I suffered from pre-eclampsia from early on with recommendations to be hospitalized from 18 weeks on. Weekly doctors appointments and multiple ultrasounds. Judd is such a great guy. I thoroughly enjoyed hanging out with him. He has the best personality and you can tell quickly that he has a very kind and considerate heart. He also has a hilarious sense of humor which you can get a feel for from his interview. I really enjoyed photographing him and seeing his sister and mom again.
