Interview with Brody Meyer - Holton High Class of 2025 - Topeka's Best Senior Portraits

Brody's session was so awesome! He was a great subject! Tall and handsome and I love the variety we were able to get in a short amount of time! We started downtown Holton which I love because there is so much there that we can use as a backdrop. We got some great images with his girlfriend and also an old Mustang, which are honestly some of my favorites from the whole session! I'm really happy with how his session turned out but the highlights might just be the photos from the golf course, so much fun!

T.H. Peterson: What classes are you glad to be done with?

Brody: Psychology and AP Language.

T.H. P.: What are your plans after high school?

Brody: I plan to attend college but have not decided where. I am considering going into Sports Management.

T.H. P.: What would your dream job be?

Brody: Working at a golf course.

T.H. P.: What would people be surprised to learn about you?

Brody: I was a league champion wrestler in middle school.

T.H. P.: What is your secret power?

Brody: Hitting a golf ball.

T.H. P.: You're pretty tall. What question do you get most often because of your height?

Brody: Do you play basketball or how tall are you?

T.H. P.: What is something you liked about your session with us?

Brody: Coming up with unique and creative ideas for pictures on the golf course.

T.H. P.: Favorite thing to do on the weekends?

Brody: Golf and fish.

Brody: Loaded mashed potatoes.

T.H. P.: Last movie you saw. What did you think of it?

Brody: Oppenheimer and I fell asleep halfway through.

I had a great time photographing Kingston for his senior session, which we split into two days. He’s full of charisma and confidence, with a smile that can light up a room. Kingston’s passion for football really stood out during the first session at Washburn Rural's football field. You can tell he’s dedicated to the game—his energy was contagious as we captured action shots and moments in the locker room. Seeing him in his element, where he’s put in so much hard work, was inspiring. For the second session, we switched things up and headed to Clarion Woods. We started at golden hour, and the timing was perfect. The light flowed beautifully through the tall grass as the sun began to set, giving a soft glow to every shot. Our session with Willow was perfect! She is such a great model! Interestingly mom said she doesn't smile often with her teeth for photos but she smiled a lot for us, I'm so happy! Our session with Keagan was incredible. We took some at the weight room at Washburn where we had a great time capturing his passion for powerlifting and then some with his motorcycle and out at their property with his dirt bike and just getting some incredible sunset images. This was an amazing baby session! Joshua is so handsome and cute and his parents are absolutely crazy about him. I loved everything about this session. How to Prepare for a Photo Session - Topeka's Best Family Portrait Photographers

Select outfits that will make for a timeless portrait. Choose practical clothing items, and keep the location and time of year in mind.  Select clothing items and accessories that are not too distracting or that you will have to adjust often during the session (think long necklaces or ruffled tops on a windy day).  Keep in mind the weather, wind speed, and humidity/chance of rain.  If you have littles, bring them some snacks to help give them incentives during the session.  This can help us to get kids to cooperate and make or break a session.  If it is windy, wear your hair up.  Trimming your bangs/hair slightly to keep them out of your eyes is a great idea, too! Use product like mousse, gel, pomade, and hairspray to tame your mane!    Pick shoes that will be easy to walk in at the location of the session.  For example, high heels are not recommended for sunflower shoots, but would look great in an urban/downtown setting.  Bring an extra jacket or cardigan to th

Meeting Link and her crew was awesome! They were so fun and laid back. It was a blast. Link is from Indiana but was here on break and we were able to get some really creative images of her.
