Interview with Liam Morrison - Washburn Rural Class of 2026 - Topeka's Best Senior Portraits
We had such a great time photographing Liam for his senior photos! He was super easy to work with and made the whole session fun. We started at his school, capturing him on the track and soccer field, especially doing hurdles—something he’s really passionate about. You could tell just how much he loves what he does, and it really shows in his photos. Liam is very photogenic and seemed to naturally know how to pose, which made our job even easier.
After wrapping up at the school, we headed downtown and then out to the country to catch the setting sun over the beautiful rural Kansas landscape. Liam was down for anything we wanted to try, and he looked great no matter where we were or what we were doing. The session flowed so well, and the final images really captured his personality, athleticism, and love for what he does. It was an awesome session overall, and we can’t wait for him to see the finished photos!
T.H. Peterson: What classes are you enjoying most this year?
Liam: So far this year, I’m enjoying my AP Calculus BC class the most because I love problem solving.
Liam: My dream job would be to become a track or soccer coach so I can pass on what I love to the next generation of kids.
T.H. P: What are your plans after high school?
Liam: After high school, I plan to run collegiate track and field, although I haven’t made my official decision yet.
T.H. P: Favorite memory running track?
Liam: Winning the 300 hurdles after falling short the year before—that feeling was incredible.
T.H. P: What do you find most challenging in soccer?
Liam: The hardest part is staying mentally locked in for the full 90 minutes because the game can change so quickly.
T.H. P: Something you liked about your session with us?
Liam: I really enjoyed the soccer and track photos! I was able to relax and just have fun with it.
T.H. P: Favorite thing your mom cooks?
Liam: Her famous meatloaf—it never misses!
T.H. P: Have you ever been seriously hurt running track or playing soccer?
Liam: I’ve dislocated my knee several times playing soccer and taken some spills over hurdles, but luckily nothing too serious.
Liam: If I could try something new, it would be water polo—I think it’d be fun to excel at that.
T.H. P: Favorite athlete?
Liam: My favorite soccer player is Neymar, and my favorite track athlete is Alison dos Santos.
