Penelope's Newborn Session - Interview with Mom - Topeka's Best Newborn Photographers

Baby Penelope was absolutely adorable and had a full head of beautiful hair that everyone noticed right away. Her mom was completely crazy about her, and it was so sweet to see the love between them during the session. Penelope was such a calm baby most of the time, which made the whole experience feel very relaxed and peaceful. Even when she had a few little fussy moments here and there, she settled right back down and kept everyone smiling.

One of my favorite things about Penelope was how expressive she was. She gave us the cutest little smiles, tiny smirks, and even some sweet cooing sounds while we photographed her. Those little moments made the session feel extra special. We were able to capture some truly beautiful expressions, and the whole session was just so much fun. It was one of those newborn sessions that really felt special from beginning to end.

T.H. P.: How did you come up with Penelope's name?
Angela: She’s not named after anyone in particular. We like more classic names and thought Penelope was beautiful with lots of options for nicknames as she gets older if she wants.

T.H. P.: What did you think when you first saw her?
Angela: We were surprised by how much hair she had! She was perfect.

T.H. P.: Who does she look like?
Angela: She looks more like mom right now because of the dark hair, but she’s going to have dad’s blue eyes. Dad also had dark hair as a baby, but he’s now blonde, so time will tell!

T.H. P.: Hardest part of your pregnancy?
Angela: The hardest part of my pregnancy was being diagnosed with gestational diabetes for the first time. Being pregnant and told to be on a low sugar diet was very hard! Luckily all went smoothly and she was born very healthy.
T.H. P.: Something you liked about your session with us?
Angela: I really liked how relaxed everyone was during our session. Babies have a mind of their own, and there was nothing but kindness and patience with both of us as we got the pictures done—even when our daughter wanted to take multiple breaks.
