Interview with Keegan - Class of 2027 - Topeka's Best Senior Portraits

Keegan is such a cool girl, and we had an absolutely perfect morning for her senior session at Osage County Fishing Lake. We started at sunrise, and the light coming up over the tree line and reflecting across the water was just beautiful. Keegan has a great smile, and she made it so easy to capture some really natural, genuine expressions. Her mom and dad came along too, and they were so much fun to hang out with. Before we knew it, the session was over!

We finished up at the studio and grabbed a few more portraits there. I loved Keegan’s outfit and her cowgirl hat, and the whole session had this natural, countryside feel that really fit her personality. She’s such a nice young lady, and I’m super excited about how her photos turned out. We had a great time from beginning to end, and I think these images really capture Keegan’s personality and style. Here are a few of our favorites!

T.H. P.: What do you like about being homeschooled?
Keegan: No rude peers, exclusion or pressure! I also enjoy my teachers a lot.

T.H. P.: Dream job?
Keegan: My dream job is anything that meets the conditions of being independent, happy and well off. But after high school I’ll be a barista first!
T.H. P.: What is something you liked about your session with us?
Keegan: I really loved how fun you guys were, you helped me with posing and had a sense of humor.
T.H. P.: Favorite movie?
Keegan: I cannot think of one specifically, however I love genres like horror and comedy the best, or anime.
T.H. P.: Favorite thing mom cooks?
Keegan: Mom doesn’t cook very much but when she does I gobble it down! My favorite is a chicken and pasta crock pot recipe and once made.
T.H. P.: How would friends describe you?
Keegan: Silly and sweet.
T.H. P.: Do you collect anything?
Keegan: I’m not a huge collector, but I like anything of my favorite video game franchise or characters from fandoms I’m in.
T.H. P.: Favorite season?
Keegan: Definitely spring, winter is too cold, autumn is alright but spring is warm and not too hot or overbearing like summer is.
T.H. P.: What reminds you of your childhood?
Keegan: The countryside, used to live there and neighbors owned livestock and horses, it was always nice to see.
T.H. P.: What is the girliest thing about you?
Keegan: It would have to be my love for flowers and cute fashion that tends to be more feminine.

Lorren’s senior session was such a fun one! We started the morning at the sunflower fields at Shively Farms, and we could not have asked for a better morning. Interview with Ean Winsor - Holton High School Class of 2027 - Topeka's Best Senior Portraits

When Ean stepped out of his vehicle, I was pretty excited because this is a BIG dude! As a football player at Holton High School, he has the kind of stature that really stands out, and he absolutely towered over us. I knew we could make some really tough-looking images of him, and we definitely did our best to capture that side of him. But it didn't take long to realize that underneath that big football-player exterior is a giant teddy bear. Ean is such a sweet, friendly, and considerate young man, and I wanted to make sure we captured that side of him too. We started his session on the football field and talked a little about football and his great team at Holton High School. Interview with Haven Ellenburg - Shawnee Heights High Class of 2027 - Topeka's Best Senior Portraits

Haven's senior session was one of those evenings where everything just came together. We started at Shawnee Heights High School on the softball field since that's where she's spent so much of her time. She was so easy to photograph from the beginning. She has a GREAT smile, a fun personality, and she's completely comfortable in front of the camera. Her mom came along too, and it was fun having her there cheering Haven on and getting excited every time we found another great spot. After the ball field, we made our way to the Governor's Mansion and then finished the evening at Kaw River Park. The sunset could not have been any better. The sky looked almost unreal and the water made the perfect backdrop for her portraits. We spent the evening talking about school,  plans after graduation, and just enjoying the beautiful weather. Interview with Addy Crouch - Shawnee Heights Class of 2027 - Topeka's Best Senior Portraits

We had so much fun photographing Addy for her senior portraits! We started at Shawnee Heights High School with some cheer photos, and she absolutely crushed them. She nailed every jump and pose, which was honestly impressive because we usually have to repeat a few of those shots to get just the right one. Mom mentioned that Addy also dances, and that definitely made sense once we started taking photos. She was so natural in front of the camera and had the sweetest smiles and expressions from the very beginning. After SHHS, we headed over to Iliff Commons for the rest of her session. As we spent more time together, we got to see more of Addy's personality come out. She's a funny girl, made us smile. Nora's Newborn Session - Interview with Mom - Topeka's Best Newborn Photographers

Nora was such a beautiful little girl, and she had the sweetest little faces throughout her newborn session. She was a little fussy when we first started, but after a quick diaper change, she completely passed out and was ready to go. From that point on, she was an absolute dream to photograph. Nora gave us so many sweet expressions and posed perfectly for her photos. I especially loved all the little details, from her tiny hands to the way she curled up and settled into each pose. Interview with Jared Heuertz - Oskaloosa High Class of 2027 - Topeka's Best Senior Portraits

Jared was such a fun senior to photograph! We actually photographed him during a couple of different sessions, and each one gave us something completely different. We started early one morning at Crooked Post Winery where he works. There we were treated to a beautiful sunrise and some awesome weather. The vineyard made the perfect backdrop for his session, and from there we headed to the lake and then to his house, finding awesome locations and opportunities for photos everywhere we went. We finished up with some pictures with his dogs; the perfect way to end the morning! For his second session, we headed to his high school to capture some of the things that are a huge part of Jared's life: football and baseball. Jared puts a ton of time and energy into his athletics, so getting those photos around his school and on the field was really important. Dawson's session was one for the books! He is super nice, very friendly, and has a great smile and personality. We started his senior session in NOTO, where we found lots of colorful backdrops and fun spots throughout. From there, we headed over to Ward Meade Park and were able to create so many cool images. The warm glow of the sun made an amazing backdrop and really added something special to his photos. We finished the evening at Shawnee Lake, where we captured some beautiful images on the water with the setting sun behind him. The sun was huge, warm, and absolutely breathtaking! Zariah from Highland Park High School was awesome to photograph! She came with some really great ideas, and we had a lot of fun getting creative with her session. We started at the studio in the mall, where we were able to capture some really unique images that showed off her personality and style. Kendall's Newborn Session - Interview with Mom - Topeka's Best Newborn Photographers

Kendall was an absolute dream during her newborn session! My assistant and I were completely blown away by how chill she was. She was so smiley and nothing seemed to bother her. She basically let us do whatever we wanted, and she posed so well for us. She even gave us some of the tiniest little hand poses that had us cracking up. She was just such a good baby, and we couldn't get enough of her! Kendall has three older brothers, and we have had the pleasure of photographing these little guys many times over the years. They are still so young, but they are already completely in love with their baby sister. They were so sweet with her and very interested in everything she was doing.
