Interview with Faith Scheibmeir - SIlver Lake Class of 2018 - Topeka's Best Senior Portrait Photographers

Faith was a great model! She is beautiful and full of personality. We took closer to the middle of the day and since we were downtown in an alley the light was phenomenal! Faith did great! She had an amazing smile and I liked the variety in her two outfits, two really different looks. She is a very smart and decisive young lady. That will get her far in life. T.H. Peterson: Silver Lake seems like a pretty awesome school. What's one of your favorite things about going to school there?
Faith: Probably how small the community is and how much more involved you are.
T.H. P.: What sort of clubs are you in? And what do you like most about them?
Faith: I am in debate and forensics, and I love public speaking and debating.
T.H. P.: What would you consider a perfect day?
Faith: Watching Friends all day long
T.H. P.:  How would friends describe you?
Faith: Outgoing and personable.
T.H. P.: What is something about your session you liked?
Faith: Going to the capital building and looking more professional while taking pictures.
T.H. P.: What is a useless talent you have?
Faith: I can eat 24 bagel bites in 3 minutes.
T.H. P.: What are you super confident about?
Faith: My public speaking and debating skills.
T.H. P.: What is the most epic song ever recorded?
Faith: Confident by Demi Lovato.
T.H. P.: What's a pet peeve of yours?
Faith: Silverware scratching on plates.

Meet Knox – the sweetest little guy! During his newborn session, he was such a joy to photograph. We used several adorable props and backdrops, and Knox gave us a little smile... basically we gushed over him! His expressions were so precious, showing off his personality even at such a young age. Knox’s mom and dad are absolutely crazy about him, and it’s easy to see why! They were glowing with love during the session, and it was so special to capture these moments for their family. How to Prepare for a Photo Session - Topeka's Best Family Portrait Photographers

Select outfits that will make for a timeless portrait. Choose practical clothing items, and keep the location and time of year in mind.  Select clothing items and accessories that are not too distracting or that you will have to adjust often during the session (think long necklaces or ruffled tops on a windy day).  Keep in mind the weather, wind speed, and humidity/chance of rain.  If you have littles, bring them some snacks to help give them incentives during the session.  This can help us to get kids to cooperate and make or break a session.  If it is windy, wear your hair up.  Trimming your bangs/hair slightly to keep them out of your eyes is a great idea, too! Use product like mousse, gel, pomade, and hairspray to tame your mane!    Pick shoes that will be easy to walk in at the location of the session.  For example, high heels are not recommended for sunflower shoots, but would look great in an urban/downtown ...

I recently had the joy of photographing an adorable baby named Forrest. He was so sweet, and his expressions could melt anyone’s heart. His mom was completely head over heels for him, and it was easy to see why. We set up a variety of different scenes to capture his cuteness, and he looked precious in every single one. From soft, cozy blankets to playful props, Forrest’s personality shined through in every photo. It was such a fun session, and I loved seeing the bond between Forrest and his mom. This was a very special session. Miss Lainey is so tiny and beautiful and her mommy and daddy are absolutely in love! She is so sweet. Aubrey: We decided we wanted a Name that started L. Lainey’s dad would give lists of L names to me and I was never set on any of them. We almost decided to go with something different than L. I asked Chris his opinion of Lainey and he told me that he thought of that name recently but was done with getting turned down on all the lists of names he had came up with. Ella, a senior from Silver Lake High School, was such a joy to photograph! She’s super photogenic and brought so much energy to her session. Ella is a talented athlete, playing basketball, volleyball, and running track, and it’s easy to see her confidence shine through. Last week, I had the honor of photographing a beautiful baby girl named Laya in our studio. She was the perfect baby, so calm and peaceful throughout the session. Her mom and big brother came along, and you could just feel how much they love her. It was such a sweet moment seeing how they looked at her with so much pride and joy. We tried so many adorable newborn poses and props, and Laya absolutely rocked every single one of them. She gave us the cutest little expressions, making the photos even more special. From cozy wraps to tiny headbands, every setup just seemed to fit her perfectly. Laya was such a chill baby, which made the whole session a dream. T.H. Interview with Robert - Royal Valley Class of 2025 - Topeka's Best Senior Photos

I had the pleasure of photographing Robert, a high school senior from Royal Valley High. Robert is not just your average senior—he’s a football player with an amazing smile and one of the friendliest personalities you could ever meet. We couldn’t have asked for a better day for his session. The weather was perfect, and the sunlight gave everything a warm, golden glow. We started at Ward Meade Park, which is one of my favorite spots. The mix of colorful fall leaves and historic charm gave us some incredible backdrops. Robert was a natural in front of the camera, and his cheerful personality made it easy to capture some great shots. Afterward, we headed out to the countryside near the Governor's Mansion and the Kansas River. The scenery was stunning, especially as the sun began to set. One of my favorite families! I was blessed to see these guys at one our last studio events this year and we got some beautiful images of their family!
