Interview with Cade Wilson - Seaman High Class of 2024 - Topeka's Best Senior Portraits

Cade was a blast to photograph. When we showed up, he was hanging out by the football field with his girlfriend. She is literally a cheerleader and his cheerleader too! She was so excited for him and that was really cool to see. We photographed some of them together and that was fun. Cade is definitely a great guy. Genuinely a humble, funny, sweet person and it was my honor to photograph him. I loved his personality and he is very photogenic as well. We took some around Seaman High and then went downtown and got some great shots there as well. He had so many images I loved but here are just some of our favorites. Hope you enjoy! T.H. Peterson: What are your plans after high school?
Cade: My plans after high school are to join the national guard and go to college.

T.H. P.: What classes are you glad to be done with?

Cade: I am so glad to be done with Chemistry and Math.



T.H. P.: What would you consider a dream job?

Cade: My dream job would be a Pharmacist without all the school.


T.H. P.: What do you like to do in the gym the most?

Cade: My favorite lift to do would definitely be squats.

T.H. P.: What are your fondest memories playing high school football?

Cade: My fondest memory is definitely kickoff team my sophomore year with my friends.

T.H. P.:  What song do you have to play when working out?

Cade: A must have song in the gym is RIP Roach by XXXTENTACION and Ski Mask The Slump God.

T.H. P.: What do you love most about Pixie?

Cade: My favorite thing about Pixie is her quirkiness.

T.H. P.: Best thing mom cooks?

Cade: My favorite dish my mom makes her famous ghetto bread and no bake cookies.

T.H. P.:  What’s your powerlifting total?

Cade: My totals are 1,250.

T.H. P.: Favorite outdoor activity?

Cade: My favorite outdoor activity is basketball with my friends.

Interview with Hannah Olson - Washburn Rural Class of 2026 - Topeka's Best Senior Portraits

Hannah’s senior session was such a joy to photograph! We started out at a farm where she could be in her element with her horse. You could instantly tell how much riding means to her—it’s a huge part of her life, and it showed in the way she lit up around her horse. She has such a natural presence in front of the camera, and her beautiful smile made every photo shine. From there, we headed out into the country just in time for golden hour. The light was perfect, warm and glowing, and it created such a beautiful backdrop for her photos. We ended the session at Kaw River Park, where Hannah not only posed by the water in the setting sun but also got right in. Not many seniors are willing to do that, but she was all for it, and the images turned out phenomenal. With her parents there cheering her on, it made the evening even more special. How to Prepare for a Photo Session - Topeka's Best Family Portrait Photographers

Select outfits that will make for a timeless portrait. Choose practical clothing items, and keep the location and time of year in mind.  Select clothing items and accessories that are not too distracting or that you will have to adjust often during the session (think long necklaces or ruffled tops on a windy day).  Keep in mind the weather, wind speed, and humidity/chance of rain.  If you have littles, bring them some snacks to help give them incentives during the session.  This can help us to get kids to cooperate and make or break a session.  If it is windy, wear your hair up.  Trimming your bangs/hair slightly to keep them out of your eyes is a great idea, too! Use product like mousse, gel, pomade, and hairspray to tame your mane!    Pick shoes that will be easy to walk in at the location of the session.  For example, high heels are not recommended for sunflower shoots, but would look great in an urban/downtown ...

Jessica and Anthony tie the knot - Stunning country wedding - Topeka Wedding Photography

Jessica and Anthony’s wedding day couldn’t have been more perfect. They said their vows on a bridge overlooking a beautiful pond, surrounded by tall grass, trees, and the peaceful countryside. The weather was just right, and everywhere you looked there were smiling faces, happy tears, and the warmth of family and friends who came to celebrate their love. It was one of those days that just felt special from beginning to end. The celebration that followed was full of laughter, dancing, and joy. The DJ kept the dance floor packed all night, and the food was absolutely delicious. Their bridal party was full of energy and love, cheering them on every step of the way. You could tell how much support Jessica and Anthony had from everyone there—it was truly a day filled with love, happiness, and memories that will last a lifetime. Now for the fun part! Interview with Cash - Shawnee Heights Class of 2026 - Topeka's Best Senior Portraits

Cash’s senior session was such a fun one! We started downtown and captured some great shots with the city vibe, then wrapped things up in a beautiful country setting near the Governor’s Mansion. The evening light was perfect, and it really brought out the warm, natural feel of the photos. Cash is incredibly photogenic, which made my job easy, and every shot seemed to come together effortlessly. I’ve had the privilege of photographing Cash and his family for several years, so it was really special to see him again for such an important milestone. I was impressed with his athleticism and could tell he’s been putting in a lot of hard work at the gym. We had such a great time photographing Parker around downtown Topeka, Washburn Rural, and the Kansas Governor’s Mansion. He brought his car along and even included his girlfriend in a few shots, which made the session extra fun. Parker is super photogenic and gave us plenty of nice smiles, making it easy to capture his personality on camera. The weather couldn’t have been more perfect, with a beautiful sunset and an amazing sky to top it all off. We had such a great time photographing Addy’s senior session! We started in the studio and then headed out around Scranton and down to the lake. It was a beautiful day — perfect weather and golden light! Like most seniors, Addy took a little bit to warm up in front of the camera, but once she did, her real smile came out, and it was absolutely gorgeous. She has such a natural, genuine smile, and it was so fun capturing that on camera. Carter was such a pleasure to photograph! From the moment we met, I could tell he’s a young man who’s going to do great things—smart, easygoing, and full of personality. He goes to Topeka High, plays on the drumline, and also enjoys soccer. During his session, we highlighted his drumming skills—he mentioned that snare is his favorite—and I know he’s having a blast right now with football season in full swing. We started in front of Topeka High, which made for some really fun shots, then headed to Shawnee Lake with a classic car that added some extra style to his photos. Interview with Bryce Cormier - Silver Lake High School Class of 2026 - Topeka's Best Senior Portraits

Bryce is a really great senior from Silver Lake High School, and his session was a blast. We started at Shawnee Lake, where we photographed him in his wrestling gear, complete with medals and uniforms—it was really awesome to showcase that part of his personality. We also got some fun shots with his fishing pole, capturing a mix of his interests. Then we headed downtown, and the evening was just perfect—the golden hour made every shot pop. Bryce has an amazing smile and was super easy to work with, which made getting a variety of photos a lot of fun. One of my favorite parts of the session was photographing him with his Dodge Charger. That bright orange car is stunning and really shows off his personality. We got shots that were playful, some more serious, and plenty that felt completely natural. Interview with Xada Spade - Osage City High Class of 2026 - Topeka's Best Senior Portraits

We had such a fun time photographing Xada’s senior session. We started in the studio where she was so natural and photogenic, making it easy to capture some great portraits. From there, we headed out to Osage County Fishing Lake, and it was the perfect spot. Even though it’s the end of summer moving into fall, we still got those warm summer vibes in her photos. The skies, the water, and the fields all came together beautifully, and Xada made it even better with her awesome smile and easygoing personality. To finish off the session, we went to Carbondale and shot around the old downtown buildings. It added a nice variety to her gallery and gave us a different look to balance the lake photos.
