Interview with Ollie Schumacher - Topeka High Class of 2026 - Topeka's Best Senior Portraits

Photographing Ollie from Topeka High was such a fun experience. He’s a really unique senior with a relaxed vibe and a great sense of humor. What made his session even more special was getting to include his family. You could tell right away how close he is with them—especially his siblings. He wasn’t too cool to take photos with them, and seeing their bond made the whole session even more meaningful.

We started Ollie’s session in front of Topeka High where he wore his letterman jacket to represent drumline, something he’s proud to be part of. After that, we headed downtown and finished up in the colorful NOTO Arts District. Each location brought out a different side of Ollie—from school pride to fun and playful moments with his family. He’s clearly a smart and grounded young man, and I know he’s going to do great things after high school.

T.H. Peterson: What are your plans after high school?
Ollie: I want to go to K-state for engineering.

T.H. P: Dream job?
Ollie: Lego model designer
T.H. P: What classes are you glad to be done with?
Ollie: I’ll miss all my classes for different reasons but I am glad to be done with the AP course load (if only for a little bit).
T.H. P: Goals for your senior year?
Ollie: I want to be more outgoing and on top of things.
T.H. P: How would friends describe you?
Ollie: As a timid but passionate person.
T.H. P: Something you liked about your session with us?
Ollie: It was easy to work with y’all and there were some fun poses.
T.H. P: Favorite thing mom cooks?
Ollie: Probably her Mediterranean lamb bowl.
T.H. P: Last movie you saw and what did you think of it?
Ollie: The last movie I saw was the new James Gunn Superman and I thought it was a fun comicbook-y movie.

T.H. P: Favorite thing about drumline?
Ollie: My favorite thing about drumline is the community both inside and outside of the group. Strengthening bonds with team members while making new ones with the community.

T.H. P: Favorite drum to play on?
Ollie: Quad toms for sure.
