Rylee Kuntz - Wellsville High School Class of 2022 - Topeka's Best Senior Portrait Photographers

 


Rylee was such an amazing senior to shoot!  She came to our studio and the first thing we noticed was her sparkling eyes and her strawberry blonde hair.  She seriously nailed every single pose that we gave her, and then some!  Her serious expression left us speechless and her smile lit up the whole image!  What a beautiful girl!  Her session was the first one we did after being off for illness.  We were so excited to photograph her that we barely noticed how tired we were until after the shoot was over.  We are more than excited to share this session with you!  Thanks for checking it out!


T.H. Peterson: What is the least girly thing about you?


Rylee: I can probably beat you in a loudest burp contest



T.H. P.: What is your favorite class this year?


Rylee: Probably personal finance because it will 100% help me in the real world.



T.H. P.: What is the last movie you saw and what did you think about it?


Rylee: I don’t watch movies very often but the last series I watched was Super Natural with my boyfriend, we have yet to finish it but got pretty far. I liked it, it was pretty interesting.



T.H. P.: What is your favorite song right now?


Rylee: Rumors by Lizzo & Cardi B because it is how my last like 6 years of school have been. People love to believe anything someone says about you no matter how absurd it is. In life people will be loud about your negatives but silent about your positives, but you just have to take it with a grain of salt, laugh, and move on.



T.H. P.: How do you feel about this being your senior?  


Rylee: It kinda just happened out of nowhere it feels like time really does fly but I’m ready to get out in the world and away from my small town. I’m excited to start my path to my future and show everyone who believed in me and those who doubted me what I’m capable of with or without their support.



T.H. P.: How long have you been doing fashion modeling? 

How did it help you with your session with us?

Rylee: This is my 4th year the first year or two were really just practice and learning together for Sarah (the lady I model for) and I. I’m not used to smiling at the camera though because you don’t really ever do that in the type of modeling I do, but it helped a lot with being comfortable in front of the camera. It was definitely different and a little weird smiling for the camera so much.


T.H. P.: What are you planning to do after high school?


Rylee: I want to major in business, not entirely sure what part, but I would love to be an advertisement, promotions, and marketing manager. With possibly a minor in graphic design.



T.H. P.: What was your favorite part about your session with us?


Rylee: I loved how funny you guys were and all of your ideas.



T.H. P.: What is one thing you want to accomplish your senior year?


Rylee: I would like to get almost a full year in college credits, I’m already almost there. I would also like to purchase a new car that will be more reliable and nicer than my little red car.


T.H. P.: If you had to pick one secret power, what would it be?


Rylee: My secret power would definitely be to be able to locate any item I may have lost or can’t find at the moment. I am extremely forgetful and misplace a lot of things so it would be a life saver.

Lorren’s senior session was such a fun one! We started the morning at the sunflower fields at Shively Farms, and we could not have asked for a better morning. Bre and Trent's Big Wedding Day - St John Vianney Church - Maple Hill, KS - Topeka Weddings

Bre and Trent’s wedding day was such a beautiful celebration. They were married at St. John Vianney Church in St. Marys, a church well known for its beautiful Latin Mass. The day began with them getting ready separately at their family’s homes, so they didn’t see each other before the ceremony. The traditional Catholic ceremony was absolutely beautiful and filled with so many emotions. I didn’t realize until later that Bre and Trent have been together since high school, which made the day even more special. After the ceremony, we headed to Shawnee Lake and Reynolds Lodge for some beautiful portraits. I absolutely love photographing at Reynolds Lodge because all of the beautiful window light makes it such an amazing place for photography. Interview with Ean Winsor - Holton High School Class of 2027 - Topeka's Best Senior Portraits

When Ean stepped out of his vehicle, I was pretty excited because this is a BIG dude! As a football player at Holton High School, he has the kind of stature that really stands out, and he absolutely towered over us. I knew we could make some really tough-looking images of him, and we definitely did our best to capture that side of him. But it didn't take long to realize that underneath that big football-player exterior is a giant teddy bear. Ean is such a sweet, friendly, and considerate young man, and I wanted to make sure we captured that side of him too. Haven's senior session was one of those evenings where everything just came together. We started at Shawnee Heights High School on the softball field since that's where she's spent so much of her time. She was so easy to photograph from the beginning. She has a GREAT smile, a fun personality, and she's completely comfortable in front of the camera. Her mom came along too, and it was fun having her there cheering Haven on and getting excited every time we found another great spot. After the ball field, we made our way to the Governor's Mansion and then finished the evening at Kaw River Park. The sunset could not have been any better. Interview with Addy Crouch - Shawnee Heights Class of 2027 - Topeka's Best Senior Portraits

We had so much fun photographing Addy for her senior portraits! We started at Shawnee Heights High School with some cheer photos, and she absolutely crushed them. She nailed every jump and pose, which was honestly impressive because we usually have to repeat a few of those shots to get just the right one. Mom mentioned that Addy also dances, and that definitely made sense once we started taking photos. She was so natural in front of the camera and had the sweetest smiles and expressions from the very beginning. After SHHS, we headed over to Iliff Commons for the rest of her session. As we spent more time together, we got to see more of Addy's personality come out. She's a funny girl, made us smile. Nora's Newborn Session - Interview with Mom - Topeka's Best Newborn Photographers

Nora was such a beautiful little girl, and she had the sweetest little faces throughout her newborn session. She was a little fussy when we first started, but after a quick diaper change, she completely passed out and was ready to go. From that point on, she was an absolute dream to photograph. Nora gave us so many sweet expressions and posed perfectly for her photos. I especially loved all the little details, from her tiny hands to the way she curled up and settled into each pose. Interview with Jared Heuertz - Oskaloosa High Class of 2027 - Topeka's Best Senior Portraits

Jared was such a fun senior to photograph! We actually photographed him during a couple of different sessions, and each one gave us something completely different. We started early one morning at Crooked Post Winery where he works. There we were treated to a beautiful sunrise and some awesome weather. The vineyard made the perfect backdrop for his session, and from there we headed to the lake and then to his house, finding awesome locations and opportunities for photos everywhere we went. We finished up with some pictures with his dogs; the perfect way to end the morning! For his second session, we headed to his high school to capture some of the things that are a huge part of Jared's life: football and baseball. Jared puts a ton of time and energy into his athletics, so getting those photos around his school and on the field was really important. Dawson's session was one for the books! He is super nice, very friendly, and has a great smile and personality. We started his senior session in NOTO, where we found lots of colorful backdrops and fun spots throughout. From there, we headed over to Ward Meade Park and were able to create so many cool images. The warm glow of the sun made an amazing backdrop and really added something special to his photos. We finished the evening at Shawnee Lake, where we captured some beautiful images on the water with the setting sun behind him. The sun was huge, warm, and absolutely breathtaking! Keegan is such a cool girl, and we had an absolutely perfect morning for her senior session at Osage County Fishing Lake. We started at sunrise, and the light coming up over the tree line and reflecting across the water was just beautiful. Keegan has a great smile, and she made it so easy to capture some really natural, genuine expressions. Her mom and dad came along too, and they were so much fun to hang out with. Zach and Kate's Engagement Session - Ted Ensley Gardens at Shawnee Lake at Sunset - Topeka Wedding Photographer

Zach and Kate were so much fun to photograph. We met up at Ted Ensley Gardens at Shawnee Lake last Saturday for their engagement session, and after how warm it had been during the day, I was honestly a little worried about how the evening was going to feel. But it ended up being perfect. These two have such great chemistry that I don't think they even noticed the heat. They were just completely comfortable with each other, laughing, smiling, and having a good time. They have that kind of connection where you can tell they've been together for a while and are just really happy being around each other. And they're both so photogenic, which certainly made my job pretty easy. There were a few things that really stood out to me during their session.
